I don’t know if UN forces used those bombs in Yugoslavia, but this article speaks of Serbia and not of Bosnia like you mention.

Furthermore UN troops intervened after the actions of Serbia in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo.

Does Srebrenica rings a bell with you?

I will lay it out for you.  I served 24 years in the UK Military, throughout the cold war.  I was imbued with the obvious fact that the USSR  had, at its core, my enemy, and the sworn enemy of all right thinking freedom loving peoples, Russia.  A Russia that had subjugated other Eastern European Nations after WW2 to produce the USSR and further its own colonialist ambitions. Since the fall of the USSR in August 1991, and the freeing of the majority of the subjugated Nations, Russia has remained what it always was, a criminal, bullying, un democratic, manipulative Nation State, with clear ambitions to swallow up other Nation States.  That means that Russia remains the enemy to me and to anyone with a logical thought in their head and a love of freedom. I have as much right to express that view on a public forum as you have to not understand anything much about the reality of this war and what it means to the global community.  I really rather pity you, but not that much.

Edit:  I should have added that peace at any price is not peace at all.  If the last few wars have taught us anything, its that.

Bla bla from the moment you write as if I had no culture, no education, no knowledge, no life etc as if possible for any on this planet …. So your uniform part gives you the right to judge and apart from  not answering while you think civilians being butchered in Ukraine for 3 weeks comparing to the population of Yemen since 2015 where actually the worse effect of war right now is the lack of food cause to the extent of war, one deserves your full hate of the aggressor in a topic about Russian tourists while for the Saudi Arabia tourists all that came out is a racist joke. And to a uniform professional I am also asking (can you explain that with your uniform on or not, I am talking to the brain not the clothes you have been told to wear for your job). you, how a mass revolution would work in Russia in 2022 like you explained earlier to the people or what or Russians (if they were any reading this) that  every single human being there should be treated as periah s but yeah, your uniform experience does not qualify you to talk about it cause the masses in revolution they do exactly not what usually you did as a job your whole life: doing orders from your leaders with no questioning. No judging you, I mean it, I honestly mean it I hope you get it, one does things where life takes you, and it was a job. But what  I am certain of is that you will not understand how I mean it. Hope you will though, I simply naturally prefer an understanding than a conflict. I hate war and any single human being in it is simply the result of a game that is not the people’s, but always a certain elite and they managed to fool so many to do it for them, usually kids with no education who also are the ones going down at the front… wether you are Russian, Saudi or American or else. Anyway, Russian mass revolution, enlight me from your “professional “ experience, I still would really like to know how if you were a Russian in Russia now you would start it (all right I am being a little or more sacarstic here he he).

you may be an excellent military man, but you are a very poor historian.

The USSR was created in 1922, long before the start of WW2.

The colonial system involves pumping resources from the colonies in favor of the mother country.  The USSR did nothing of the kind, economic relations with the countries of the socialist bloc were equal.  Unlike, for example, Great Britain and other European countries, which openly plundered their colonies until the middle of the 20th century.

and largely thanks to the USSR, Britain was able to abandon its colonial past and become a modern democratic state

There is also an old Celt saying that if "oopen stoopen halibet en glupen, keilder weilder schone muchen beweilder." Which roughley translated means 'chose your friends wisely' because they could easily march into your country as the did Ukraine.

Not that it matters too much in this thread, but since you mentioned it. Is that Celtish?

As with all conflicts in the world, once time has passed, true aims and reasons for conflicts become apparent. Even though Milošević was blamed for much of what went on, the whole debacle was a punishment for those countries unwillingness to join NATO.

The amount of double dealing during and after the Second World War is astonishing when you check the real facts. Look up operation dropzone from 1957, declassified in 1977. Plans were drawn up by the UK and USA to obliterate the Soviet Union using 300 nuclear weapons and 250,000 conventional bombs. Only shelved because the Russians found out about it

likewise, people need to be very careful who they trust and who they believe, even their home governments.

It doesn't matter to you but you thought you'd mention it anyway. Never heard of Celtish, did you make it up?

For 8 years, a conflict was raging in Donbass. Was the Minsk agreement ever implemented? Nope and why not?

Because Russian backed terrorists kept breaking the agreement.

One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter. Russia bad. NATO benevolent, Ukraine good.

And here you are telling everyone Russia is good? A controversial position to hold given it is now committing genocide in a country it illegally invaded.

Always the false accusations. Find one post where I said Russia is good. Just one. I’ve written plenty of posts about this “special operation” so surely you can find ONE where I say Russia is good in less time than it takes you to angrily hammer out a dismissive reply stating it is not your job etc etc etc. You said it, prove it or stop lying. Simply because I refuse to join the Angry Dad’s Army doesn’t mean I am a member of the Putin fan club. Not everyone who is not a Christian is a Muslim/Buddhist etc. Some people make up their own minds and choose to not believe the message others cling to as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

When is Zelenskyy going to declare Mariupol lost and order the commander to surrender his forces there? After every Ukrainian soldier, man, woman and child trapped there is dead? By all accounts the city is destroyed which probably has something to do with the Ukrainian military  choosing to move heavy weapons into and conduct urban warfare inside a city of 400,000 civilians.

You defend Czar Putin constantly. You want everyone from Zelensky to NATO to appease and reward him for his illegal invasion and war crimes.

You couldn’t find ONE post where I defended the invasion or Putin or even ONE sentence amongst my numerous, lengthy posts that you can twist to suit your accusations and justify your slurs or you would have served it up with glee.

Peace talks are not appeasement and fighting to the death is not a victory. I’ve previously explained my reasoning as to why I believe peace talks are in Ukraine’s best interest. And I have never excused alleged war crimes by either side. Debate the points instead of ignoring anything that runs counter to your opinion and the inevitable dismissal of it as coming from a “Putin bot”. Less crying, more trying.

And no comment on Mariupol?

"The Celts (/kɛlts, sɛlts/, see pronunciation of Celt for different usages) or Celtic peoples are a collection of Indo-European peoples in Europe and Anatolia, identified by their use of Celtic languages and other cultural similarities."

"Celt, also spelled Kelt, Latin Celta, plural Celtae, a member of an early Indo-European people who from the 2nd millennium BCE to the 1st century BCE spread over much of Europe

It is a Celtic saying or a Celts saying, not a Celt saying. Same as it is an English saying not an England saying.

I regret to inform that you will be transferred to an inactive post in the Grammar Police.

Russia pumped the money in to keep the peace and maintain their "Empire", not through altruism.
