For the past few years, Putin has been publicly blaming the USSR for most of Russia's problems today.  The more problems in Russia, the more the fault of the USSR.  Now Putin is a champion of the greatness of the Russian Empire, that is, an ardent anti-communist.

I wouldn't doubt you're sentiments there KR but it appears some of the invaders still long for the good old days ( as they see it ) ..

Just because some of the career military types long for the days of the great CCCP does not mean Putin does. Putin longs for the days of the great Russian empire but with himself as Czar!

Yes, Europe is buying "Energy" from Russia. So is the US, about 18 million barrel of Oil and Oilproducts/month.

Why the hell did Biden shut down USA oil production and pipelines? That must be the dumbest decision in US political history.

Just look at the amount oil imported from Russia.

Of course it's not a good look, neither is Russian APC's swerving across roads to drive over civilian cars driving in the opposite direction.

In 2014, when everything started in Donbass, it was the communists who were one of the main driving forces of resistance to the new authorities of Ukraine.

Later, all the leftists were pushed aside and imperial patriots took power in the Donbass.

Putin exploits nostalgia for the USSR.

Perhaps the crew of this tank is a victim of this exploitation, or one of the last supporters of leftist ideas in the Donbass. We still see the imprint of these dreams on National emblem of the Luhansk People's Republic. This is a copy of the coat of arms of the USSR

Reports are misleading. Firstly it was an armoured carrier vehicle, not a 'tank'.
Locals reported in other news media outlets it was in a fact a 'Ukrainian' armoured vehicle which the driver lost control of.

Did I say it was a "tank"? If it was a Ukrainian vehicle having an accident why did they not render assistance to the victim? Because it was Russian and it was intentional!

Misleading or propaganda from news agencies that love the money they make from covering conflict?

Don't trust anything the mainstream news reports is my general rule.

Interesting , thanks for that .. Nationalism seems also to be quite prevalent in the disputed regions does that feed into both the communist and imperialist camps as a binding factor .?

Maybe she should take up another career, seems that almost every country she gets involved in goes to shit,

Afghanistan was another one.

surprisingly yes.

Although nationalism and communism are two different poles, for example, the official Communist Party of Russia supports Putin in almost everything, who blames the communists for all the problems. nonsense

I watched the United Nations speeches last night which this incident was brought up. What a stupid pathetic answer the Russian minister gave out. He said that APC was not ours as we don't have them anymore there obsolete. And the lying Russian pm sent a missile into a residential area in Kyiv hitting an Apartment block obviously a military target.
