5 teams left in qualifying with two spots up for grabs. Next up is:

UAE 🇦🇪 vs Australia 🇦🇺 in Doha, 1am tonight (Thai time).

Will the long-suffering Aussies live to fight another day?

The winner to play Peru on June 13th for the final place in Group D, which includes France, Denmark and Tunisia.

Costa Rica meanwhile, face New Zealand on June 14th for the final place in Group E, which includes Spain, Germany and Japan.

Any predictions for the remaining two places @BigHewer?

Maybe we should Lawro… er @Marble-eye? 😂

If it's any help Paddington Bear comes from Peru and they grow an awful lot of coffee in Costa Rica.

So I'd go with Costa Rica.

That is the way I normally formulate my predictions, although to be honest it hasn't been tried out on an international level yet.😉⚽

Well that’s a nice bit of news to wake up to…

Australia have beaten Peru on penalties and have now qualified for the World Cup!

Great to have the Aussies in. The bar banter in November just ratcheted up a notch. ⚽🍻

NZ vs Costa Rica tonight to decide the final qualification spot.

Paddy Power have NZ at 4/1 and C Rico at 3/4

Well, the World Cup line-up is now complete, with Costa Rica downing New Zealand 1-0 in Qatar. NZ gave it everything. Two very interesting points from that game:

1. The neutral Qataris were cheering for New Zealand, and yet yesterday they were going for Peru against the Aussies 🤣

2. Great post-match press conference. Not the usual conciliatory magnanimous sh*te from the losing manager.

”There were two teams out there and only one of them was playing football”

Yikes 😳
