Thai Drivers Licence Renewal.
Yes, I have always found it quite strange that they give one card per vehicle type… And yes, as always with administrative stuff, there are no set rules and it can vary greatly from one office to the other, and sometimes even one employee to the other. When I initially converted my French licence to a Thai one in Banglamung, they had me translate it by an Embassy-approved translator, then stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok, but I remember reading that some guys were able to do it directly at the DLT office in other provinces. -

News Forum - Chinese couple remains at large after public sex show in Thailand
Well....we have to agree that Thai police will not involve into the personal life matters of couples. And we have to really respect them for that decision. -

Health Insurance Company WrLife
Do not take the unnecessary risk and sign up with WR Life. Last November I renewed the contract for my 2 year old daughter and my girlfriend. The payment was taken quarterly out of my credit card. I noticed that the second payment was charged to my credit card and credited back the same day. I asked Patrick, the owner why and if everything was ok, and he replied he would check and get back to me, which he never did. A couple of weeks later I submitted a few hospital bills and was told that the contract was closed. In several e-Mails back and forth Patrick Lorentz, the owner was rude, insulting and very arrogant. This after I insisted that my family has health insurance and after I shared the policy certificate with him. He stated he is not allowed to insure Thai citizens. He also never send me a notice about that, still up to today I don’t know when they decided to cancel the contract. Luckily we had no medical emergency. it is illegal in Thailand to cancel a health insurance like that - you need good reasons and 60 or 90 days notice… WR Life only gets away with this because they are not registered in Thailand as an insurance, but they are registered as a broker. They are registered in St Kitts, have not much ,orevthen a PO Box in England, have very limited employees in Thailand ( around 3 I think) and are underwritten by Lorentz Capital ( name sounds familiar?) The information above is all documented in writing and can easily be proven, just in case WR Life states it is not true.
