The one huge point over the line is he knew his suspect was gurgling and flailing helplessly for life. And if he didn't know the severity of it, then he had lost all conscious feel and control of his cognitive reasoning. But the amount of years this guy got 42? He was out of control but that amount of years just destroys his life entirely. 20 yrs was already enough. He will only become more hardened and ruined, so life over and game over for him. Let him go to war on the ront line on loan for another country and let him take his chances there and get reduced years if he makes it. Ukraine comes to mind. Or peacekeeper in Pakistan?

If that is all true, when is the cop’s appeal due to be heard?

Exactly!

If it had been a middle class white doctor there would have been outrage from the people claiming this guy had it coming. The motives are so transparent.

The sentences are to run concurrently so no extra time in jail.

No they don't however the point is that blacks are killed disproportionately.  No they are not if you compare to the crime they are involved in rather than strictly their percentage in the USA population.

It has also been shown that police opt for deadly force when confronted by a person brandishing a weapon.  Again common sense, don't confront a police officer with a weapon and expect that somehow the police will know you don't mean to hurt or kill them or another person.

Also this is only 1 side of the story.  Police deaths are up 60%.  So you place police officers in dangerous situations, often facing people with weapons and then question their judgement when someone breaking the law is killed during the commission of a crime.  Pretty simple, don't want to get shot by police, don't do anything that puts you in a confrontational situation.  Obey the law.

I don't disagree with any of that......

You aren't allowed to say that blacks dispriportianly commit more crimes though  :(

Although gee, I wonder why murders are up? Couldn't have to do with the absurd amount of guns the country has, nah...................

Black people in the US are disproportionally killed by police; if this list was of "Farang" killed in Thailand by the Thai police, everyone would be calling it genocide.

You can argue about the details, as I am sure some will.

You can claim that Newsweek is "Globalist" media, as I am sure some will.

You can claim that Black people bring it on themselves, as I am sure some will.

However, if you were Black in the US, you'd see it differently.

Here are the names (where available), ages and locations of the Black people killed by police in 2021:

what a ridicules comparison farang in Thailand vs African Americans in the USA

https://www.bestplaces.net/crime/city/georgia/kennesaw

Then perhaps you can explain how Kennesaw Georgia which is a suburb of Atlanta has a law mandating that every head of household must have a firearm and it has one of the lowest crime rates and homicide rates in the country.  If their was a correlation to gun ownership and violance at 100% of the household, Kennesaw would have one of the highest, not the lowest.  Switzerland has one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the world, and yet has no problems.

Mexico has only one legal gun store, on a military base in Mexico City and it takes months of background checks and applications to get approval to purchase.  Does Mexico have any problem with gun violence?  It is the people not the firearm.
