It is a total rip-off, two weeks ago I was in Patong, and the owner of the restaurant I was in ordered a taxi for me via the inDrive app, the quote was 300 baht.

A nice new taxi turned up, and took me over the mountain to Kathu, right to the door of my house, it was a twenty-minute drive, and do you know how much I had to pay?

300 baht, what a rip-off!

Never buy unfinished building off plan units, even with the big builders with projects all over. Thousands of Used condos you can get the keys today. Only what you can resonably afford to sell at a lose. Use buyers agent or lawyer and pay her to at least to check the condo chanote is real and inincombered, Check the foreign owner quota with the land office and junnistic perso

 

And DO NOT buy property to be registered in a Thai womans name

I agree, I have been coming here for the last 30+ years, and I am currently in my second year of being here full-time, the comment I made about the taxi was sarcasm, 300 baht was cheap for the distance.

Of course, tourists can be scammed in any holiday destination in the world, there is nothing particularly dangerous in that respect about Phuket over any other destination, a fool can be cheated no matter where they are in the world.
