Check out how todays new border regulations have further screwed the UK economy.

The oil reserves of Guyana are being newly tapped. Unfortunately our American 'allies' are the ones creaming it off... why not Britain?

Britain is not trying to regain an empire so yes there is no way it can do it, who said Britain is trying to do that?

The commonwealth is just an honorary title, it has no power or jurisdiction, it is just a loosely linked club.

That is just a temporary thing, once the EU has stopped sulking and realise their exports to the UK will be affected we will come to a trade agreement like we had in the 1970s at some point.

Now look at the positives of Brexit, we can make trade agreements with anyone we wish, it will take time, but taking time is better than never being able to do it as it was when we were in the EU.

australians might take offence at that. someone bove suggested the empire/commonwealth might replace the EU - it shows that some have no idea how EU. wmpire or commonwealth works.

The Commonwealth of Australia is a federation of six states and two self-governing territories. The national government is the Australian Government, also referred to as the federal government or Commonwealth government.

The British Commonwealth of Nations was the result of the 1926 Balfour Declaration which stipulated that the relationship between Britain and her Dominions was equal in status. This stipulation was formalized officially in Section 4 of the Statute of Westminster in 1931.

As for post Brexit agreements  - do the math - there is absolutely no way that even in a century could the UK get to the level they had with the EU.

You can't be serious - all the UK has done is rubber stamp or reinstall agreements with countries outside the EU that existed already when we were in the EU.

other than that, if you look at value or populations they just can't compare.

Today's measures are just implementing post-Brexit agreements that had to be delayed 5 times in order to keep some semblance of sense in th UK inflation situation.

Well looks like the local elections went well back in The UK.

And to think folk are concerned about what's happening in the Ukraine?

The enemy within. No other ethnic group is as intent on creating their own nation within a nation and then dominating the host nation as these people are.  The saddest part is that they are enabled by leftists and unions so consumed with hate for the state and their favourite target of jews that they actively support these domestic tyrants. The hypocrisy of the left and of the union leadership is exposed as hate because these religion driven extremists do not support anything close to what the leftists and union cadres claim they are trying to achieve.

I think a lot of people don't realise that the restrictions of Brexit have not been fully applied yet - the government has delayed many of them up to 5 times for fear of  any backlash from the public

Two new slowdowns for UK economy and its citizens -

“Mate, what the fvck has happened to the UK?” asks the TikToker, Edward Matthews . . .

Good question!

TikToker Warned by Police He Might be Committing a Hate Crime For Making Fun of LGBT Car
21st May 2024

“You’re very very close to committing a public order offence.”

A TikToker in England was warned by a police officer that he was on the verge of committing a hate crime after making fun of an LGBT-colored car.

Yes, really.

“Mate, what the fvck has happened to the UK?” asks the TikToker, Edward Matthews, before showing a police car emblazoned with the gay rainbow colors.

“The UK is absolutely finished bruv, we should not be seeing this on fed cars,” adds Matthews, before asking a police officer stood nearby what he thinks of it.

“Maybe you should watch your tone in public, there’s nothing wrong with the car,” responds the officer.

When Matthews expresses his opposition to LGBT being taught to children in schools and the fact that “they’re plastering it all over the fvcking UK,” the cop tells him he should reserve his opinion for when he’s at home.

The TikToker continues to assert that it’s “diabolical” children are being taught about LGBT in schools, to which the officer warns him he needs to be “careful” about how he voices his opinion in the public domain.

Matthews jokes that he’s going to get into power and “ban” LGBT propaganda, to which the officer responds, “You’re very very close to committing a public order offence.”

“If someone overhears that who is a part of this community, the LGBTQ community, they could quite easily interpret it as a hate crime, so please just be careful,” he adds.

I'd be ashamed, too.

Who's paying for these custom paint jobs?  They ain't cheap.  UK taxpayers?  Money well spent?

What an uneducated knobhead, where did he learn such bad English, he thinks can go up to a policeman and start swearing at him, asking him an opinion on the law that he knows the policeman can not comment on, what a coward.

It is a pity he did not try on in a country like Thailand, the police would not let him get away with that violent verbal attitude here.

Maybe he should spend more time learning English rather than trying to provoke people he knows have to be professional and are not allowed to clout him around the head as he deserves.

For over 30 years now the ranks off the Various UK Police Constabularies have been loaded with individuals who are totally unfit for the role Alphabet People, Activist and People who believe UK Law to be second to their various religious laws.

When I was a young boy back in Swansea  prior to joining The Army at 16 I wouldn't have wanted to be stopped by the Police in fear of getting a good hiding as they were nails.

Now look at them unfit for purpose.

It's bad when Police Horses have more intelligence than Policemen.

In fairness, its always been the case, as is the fact that the Police dog is there to ensure that the Officer doesn't fxxx up too badly.  His job is just to feed the dog.

When I was at school, many eons ago, the A form went on to A Levels and University, The B  Form joined the military, The C Form went into industry, The D Form joined the Police or the Civil Service.  I doubt much has changed since that time.

From the video description:

Meet Paul, the London police officer who converted to Islam after working with the local Muslim community in Edgware Road for 16 years.

Video produced by TRT, a Turkish public broadcast service.

Okay . . . how wonderful and heartwarming!  In the U.S. you have MAGA, Make America Great Again.  Is this supposed to be MUKI, Make UK Islamic?

Cos of course, money is the issue that concerns you most?

How did you reach that conclusion, cowslip, as you don't know me from Adam?  Or does your logic run like this:

If you complain about government wasting your hard earned money by spending it on police car paint jobs advertising a minority trans culture which you oppose  then that must mean you're only concerned about money.

Geez, does that not illustrate the entire depth to which you are able to logically think a subject matter through?  Or is it because trans culture is the issue that concerns you most?  Either way, the answer doesn't look good for you.

To use your type of logic then I'd state that you're trans as you support this abuse of government.  Are you?  Don't be shy to say if you are.

Are gay people and the like exempt from paying UK taxes?

Another post showing an utter lack of the use of logical thinking and the ability to think things through.

Are Christians exempt from paying UK taxes?  To answer both questions, no.  So why aren't the police promoting Christianity by painting their cars with Christian symbolism?  Or Islam?  How about conservatism?  Perhaps climate change?  Or any other number of social causes?

The police are for one purpose; to keep the peace and protect the citizens.  All citizens.  Their business is not to favour any particular segment of society by promoting them to the exclusion of any other segment of society.  Nor is it their business to be political.  Does that make logical sense?  And if so, would you agree?

What are you saying, mate?  If people don't like something they should just STFU?  Accept it quietly?  Not voice their opinions?  And if they do voice their opinions then attack them?  Start levying false accusations such as his inability to speak 'proper' English?  That he's Uneducated?  And then falsely label him as a knobhead simply because he disagrees with you?  He has no right to voice his concerns and displeasures to the police?

Questions.  So many questions.  And apparently none of these questions seemed to enter your mind.  The inability to think things through by an utter lack of asking pertinent questions because the answers might not go your way.

In any case, I'd be ashamed of the UK, too, as they support and then promote unnatural causes.  Would be nice if the police instead used their limited resources for such things as putting an end to Muslim rape gangs.  Which is another complete embarrassment for the UK. as they show an utter lack of willingness to do so.

Duh! Because that's what you said! You're such a cliche!
