I don't know how many bad apples were amongst the  arab journalists who died. I would hope that most if not all were professional journalists doing their job, who were in the wrong  place at the wrong time. You are carrying on as if this is an isolated situation unique to this war zone. Journalism is a dangerous occupation.

Your data reference  is presented in a biased manner (it is also inaccurate). Why leave out the Israeli deaths? Are the deaths of Israeli journalists of any less value?   The current headcount as of November 9 from the Committee to Protect Journalists is  39 journalists and media workers confirmed dead: 34 Palestinian, 4 Israeli, and 1 Lebanese.

Fanta responded to someone, so you, who talked about reporters in Gaza, so I have provided sources talking about Journalists in Gaza to Fanta (not you by the way, not interested to read your self centered ignorant points of view). If Fanta responded to / wrote about something about Israeli Journalists in Israel, then I would have provided sources talking about that. When you talk about some kind of "monopoly" from Gaza reporters, you obviously mean Palestinian reporters, not Israelis (as anyone can imagine, none in Gaza) nor others, when you write "Western media companies were provided with Hamas approved designated "journalists", you talk about Palestinian journalists in Gaza, not Israelis nor any others, right? Also 90% of all the many sources I have provided in this thread are from Israel cause like I said 20 times at least, the sources I trust reporting about this never ending conflict are from there, and way before Oct. 7 unlike you. And indeed I was very sad and touched when I learned that 4 Israeli journalists have been killed also since Oct. 7 (well on Oct. 7), especially the 3 from Times of Israel, very rare news outlet that I trust worldwide. And where were they killed by the way? In Gaza? Nope, they were killed in Israel by Hamas on Oct. 7 (yes you did not read your source, did you??). If the subject had been about reporters in Israel, I would have certainly provided sources about these 4, something that I have read about a while back by the way. But no, the subject, which YOU started, were reporters in Gaza!!

"Why leave out the Israeli deaths?" I respond to you: and why do you leave out the Lebanese death? So you are upset about the Israels but not the Lebanese?? Interesting.... As explained above, I mentioned the journalists in Gaza cause, well it was simply the subject, not journalists in Israel, in Lebanon or anyone else but Gaza, subject that YOU started? Do you even remember? Do you actually know what you write?????

Secondly, you obviously did not even check my source (what a suprise...), which is an updated one to your oudated one (yeah, you took 13 seconds to quickly find one on Google just to contredict me for the sake ot it without comparing both cause you did not even check mine...as usual). So I wrote and I quote "36 palestinians (+5 others)"  - so the 34 Palestinians of your outdated source (+ 2 = 36 Palestinian journalists killed of my updated source) ...and yes 4 Israelis (killed in Israel so not in Gaza) and 1 Lebanese (killed in Lebanon so not in Gaza).

Not sure why you insist of painting me the opposite of who I am, certainly I do not write what you seem to understand, not sure, you read too fast...well when you do read, and I guess never, never check sources neither, never understand a thing I say, weird (to be polite). You are a very weak person, only weak people act like that...

And until I get an apology for what you know you wrote about me, please do not quote me and try to repond to something I wrote to others that you never understand, I do not wish to debate with you, certainly not until I get an apology. I have ignored me recently as I did, so let's keep it that way.

Now move along please.

Fake country is any nation with artificial borders drawn by others.

By your definition only. Aside from island states all land borders are arbitrary, either through colonial treaties or treaties with neighbouring states. How you’ve come to the conclusion that a nation is ‘fake’ because it’s boundaries were decided by colonial powers is anybody’s guess.

UK never at war with Republic of Ireland. UK created ROI 1922.

I was referencing your claim of the UK being democratic. The catholic population of Northern Ireland were never afforded the political representation by the UK government until the Good Friday agreement. Therefore the UK cannot be considered democratic up until the signing of the agreement.

You implied Religion necessary for western civilisation.  It was Not

I implied nothing of the sort. I merely pointed out to you that the dominance of the UK was a result of its removing of the power of monarchy as opposed to other colonising powers which were beholden to the whims of their king. It is no coincidence that the fall of the absolute monarchy in Great Britain (1649) coincided with the birth of the royal society (1660). And the creation of the royal society was the moment when modern science began.

And there is no hateful conspiracy claim of a Jew plot because there is no plot, no hate and no conspiracy. The Jewish presence is strong in the US government and that is a fact.

Those two sentences seem to contradict. If there is no conspiracy, what the point in making how many Jews have high positions in the executive branch? I would think it might prove the conspiracy instead of the opposite???

Ask Vigo  - he introduced the word conspiracy as well as the words hate and plot…

I'm just surprised that anyone, anywhere believes anything that reporters say to sell their newspapers.

They all lie like a cheap Co-Op watch. Thats all of them, without exception.

Is that sarcasm, because the total of such positions is in the thousands and there are far more muslims occupying such jobs.

You ask why I did not mention the deceased Lebanese journalist. Well I did and he was killed as he was situated in a place where Hizbollah was firing on IDF personnel and the Hizbollah situation is linked to Gaza. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  I do not celebrate any journalist's death and I responded  to  put the information that you provided into context.

Yes, I know what I write. However, I suggest that you may have a reading comprehension dysfunction.  Yes, I did check the source of information and that is why I provided you with the data from the same source as you that showed the total number of journalists killed in the past 20 years. I also provided  data from other war zones to show that while it is unfortunate that journalists have died covering the conflict in Israel, and Gaza, the number is not significant when considered with other current war zones. It is why I quoted data for Iraq and Syria where "a combined total of 578 journalists were killed in the past 20 years, or more than a third of the worldwide total,"  Mexico (125), the Philippines (107), Pakistan (93), Afghanistan (81), and Somalia (78) were other hot spots. It is all about context.  Surely the death of 578 Arabs should merit even a sigh of sorrow, and not a dismissal?

And no, there is no need for me to apologize for your imagined affront. Your words and sentiments speak for themselves.  It is up to readers to determine for themselves. For those who share your views, which I consider prejudiced, they will sympathize. There may even be a 1970's type of manifestation where you can attend and protest offering up the bankrupt political slogans of your youth.

First above two paragraphs are nonsense. Nazi Germany a Tyranny. Mountains Rivers Deserts Lakes all form natural borders. 3rd para I will basically concede so “Great Britain” then was Democratic before Good Friday. 4th para. Conclusion broadly sound (if read with my last subject  historical response section. .

Pfft… I have already made it crystal clear that I do not support Hamas and have both condemned their actions while calling for their extermination. Your claim of otherwise is an outrageous lie.

Why do you have to justify yourself again? It has no impact anyway on those who write those accusations. And for the others, it is very clear, for me for sure. Since the beginning of this thread, they are the extremists full of hate posters, the (try to be) objective/moderate posters and one anti-semitic poster who even denied the holocaust who is now gone it seems. And for the extremists, if you are not on their extremist side then you must be on the other extremist side (so an extremist too). Yes, for them, choose between black and white, there is nothing else, their brains block any other objective thinking, that is what hate does. So the debate is impossible cause they end up insulting you and/or accusing you of something although you are the opposite, and justifying that you are not over and over does not change anything, that is what they will continue to do until the last post of this thread, that's their only argument, the only way of thinking they know. Just saying...

He’s clearly a self confessed anti- Semitic,Hamas- murder supporter of low intellect.

Another self-loathing anti - White Socialist POS.Journalists know the risks when glory- hunting.

Mystery why someone of Fanta’s (misguided) quality would support this deluded fool.

Always offended & babbling incessantly as if weight of words will carry the argument.

Non- stop referencing of the fake term “ Palestinians” who sprang into existence only in 1967 ( Terrorist PLO) term)after THEY decided to leave West Bank at Arab Nations request, prior to the 1967 war.

Note Jordan occupied West Bank then and never gave it away to these other Arabs.

Then yet another Failed Genocidal Arab Aggression (1967) to sweep Murder & Drive Out all Jews.

Which the Defeated Arabs then did to the Jews in their own Lands

“ Palestinians”  are of course Immigrant Arabs from Egypt & Syria attracted by the work afforded in successful Israeli farms.Note such work unavailable in their own Arab Lands nor created by 1400 years of Arab Occupation of Judah- Samaria to give proper Israeli name to region, 3000 years ago the 1st Jewish Indigenous Kingdom.

Jews are highly successful at anything they put their minds too. That’s basically why they are Hated.
Yes there are 7 Jews in senior positions within the Biden Govt. So What ? successful minorities are always over- represented. Like Scots in England. Those Biden Jews all no doubt made their way there via separate independent career paths. Indirect accusers or conspiracy theorists are to Prove otherwise or come across as anti- Semitic fools.

17. Oh oh. That's not a good sign. Either too many evil hateful people here or over active moderators. I just  came here from AseanNow because my opinions were censored. What's the point of a forum if free speech is off the cards. But I will give the benefit of doubt to the moderator on this occasion and suggest if so many hateful comments, maybe it's time to include at least one forum with a free for all full of hate and insults that people can sign into. No harm if people don't mind being insulted, right?

Enjoy your week everyone.

Read my post again, you sarcastic dipstick. Also read the forum rules while you’re at it.

Free speech is fine, off topic blather about cheese imports and pension application procedures  are not and have been removed.

See the thread “Military Chit Chat” in Expat Chat for your utopian free for all.

Why would you need another place to post hateful comments? Surely there are other forums better suited to such things. And now with the  programs like Zoom and Teams, the haters can get together and foam at the mouth in unison.
