I would not expect huge gains in the first few days. It will take time to reduce the Russian front lines.

However when a breakthrough happens then expect the front line to collapse as Ukrainian troops are now able to get behind the trenches. Russian troops will be a lot less inclined to remain in place if they think their lines of retreat are becoming closed.
