Until he can bribe his way back into another lucrative role? Why was he not sacked and or arrested for corruption? Guessing he was paying all the right people. Police corruption in Thailand seems to be going from bad to worse lately!

Precisely. In the past potential whistleblowers would have been too afraid to speak out in fear of retribution. Enter, Move Forward Party, who have the power shake these rotten dealings to their core. It also adds pressure to the crusty old senator advocating for more of the same.
