a bot over rated, tried the first season and thought it lacked good angles and was a bit boring. It did look promising. Too many good series these days to be stuck on the old ones.

Watched the first series, then it got boring and lost the plot.

Indeed it does take a long time before people become aware of the significance of the films . The first season goes by and into the second season before the films are given any actual thought and into the third season before people start to understand what is happening and are talking freely about the whole story.

 

It is quite drawn out I agree but i am more than half way through season 3 and enjoying it .

Sherwood (2022) A six-part BBC drama based in part on real events in the Nottinghamshire village of Sherwood in 2004.

A crime drama about the killings that happened there. This is the story behind it:

The miner's strike from forty years ago plays a part in the story too.
The cast includes David Morrissey, Lesley Manville, Robert Glenister, Kevin Doyle, Terence Maynard, Clare Holman, Alun Armstrong.

I was wondering if this might be to similar to the famous film The Dambusters (1955).

However, it turned out to be a documentary, those who flew in the Lancaster planes telling their story. It was really interesting to hear first-hand accounts of what went on.

I remember at the start, the ages of some of those being interviewed were shown - 95, 97. All these guys spoke absolutely clearly, which I found it impressive.
There were a couple of clips from The Dambusters too.

I felt let down by this series. Even though I watch all four episodes I struggled to follow the story. Not an easy watch, although YMMV.

The prequel is set in 1999. Mark Coles Smith plays the young version of Jay Swan.
I enjoyed this, the same as I enjoyed the first series listed here:

Watched this last night and loved it, a sad/mysterious case of false identities and cruelty, the surprises keep coming right to the end .

Much more than that I would say. Martin Freeman takes the lead as husband and father of 2 small children , his impatience and anger at life in general is to cause him problems in the near future.

Another Tom Hardy movie that went under the radar and many might have missed.

This one unfortunately, despite its imdb rating and some good reviews, was terrible imho !! Whether it shows the infallibility of imdb ratings or my failure to spot a good drama I don’t know.

If you are looking for an action movie give this a miss, NOT recommended .

Only been to Boston for two days, so can't really comment.

It's very good, almost on par with The Wire, in terms of plot & realism.

A ''foreign' attack, that's Russia by the way. This series is absolutely up to date, mentioning the Ukraine war and Russia's attitude to the west.
One episode is set in the headquarters of the FSB, The dialogue is entirely in Russian with English subtitles.

The complete series is available on torrent, even though only the first three episodes have been screened.

Brian and Charles ( 2022 ) comedy movie/mockumentary

Brian ( the lewd and uncouth Kev from Ricky Gervais’s comedy Derek ) plays a lonely loner in rural Wales. Needing some company Brian uses his invention making skills to create Charles a robot/friend.

Initially all is well until a local thug shows an interest.
