28 Up Millennium Generation  (2021)  1hr 56 mins  (not listed on IMDB)

A BBC documentary following a group of children from all over the UK born in 1993. The cameras return every seven years.
Meet the millennium generation - and watch them grow - sharing their hopes, struggles and achievements.

Two one hour episodes on BBC iPlayer and available on torrent.

If this is an attempt to recreate the 7 Up series, it seems they are starting far too late.  At age 21? The entire premise of the original was to see how the child became and often/usually makes the man. That's the reason it's still interesting today. But starting at 21? This will not last.

It would be better if you were to reread that, which Bluesofa posted. Notably, his third sentence.

OK. For me, this was the first time I've seen this.
From what I read the film crew have returned every seven years, from the first time when the kids were seven years-old.
This 28 Up series did show clips of the kids from previous series, as they were growing up.
Apparently the entire series, every seven years from the beginning is available on iPlayer.

Old Henry - this was ok, quite enjoyed it, worth a gander

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt12731980/

Just finished watching this about an hour ago, I thought it was okay too.

Watched a bit of “ Kate “

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7737528/

Gave up after about 30 minutes, female assassin movie looked promising but when her numerous Japanese attackers were queuing up to get stabbed/shot/beaten up I pulled the plug.

Second season  of “ Ted Lasso “ failed to grab my attention like season 1.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10986410/

I like Ted’s witty repartee but some of the other members of the cast became just annoying, in particular Jamie Tartt and Roy Kent.

A documentary, in so much as deals with real events.

Unusual that the film maker interviewed the main suspect for three murders, in an attempt to find out how reclusive New York real estate agent Robert Durst was not charged with two of the murders.
He was also found not guilty of one, despite admitting in court he cut up the body and disposed of it in a river.

Filmmaker Andrew Jarecki examines the complicated life of Robert Durst.
Six episodes, available at the usual torrent sites.

Dreadful distortion of history, typical BBC the the right wing nutters in 1962 were just a joke, not the big threat with a large following made out to be in this nonsense.

Thought ep01 was moderately ok...but after that, it was, as you said a: "dreadful distortion of history"

Woefully over dramatised...

Not wishing to detract from Faraday's post, but there is a documentary about the same subject.

The Crime Of The Century (2021) 3hr 58 mins  https://m.imdb.com/title/tt14055432/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

A searing indictment of Big Pharma and the political operatives and government regulations that enable over-production, reckless distribution and abuse of synthetic opiates.
It's an HBO production, on torrent.

The Last Bus  (2021)  1hr 27mins  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9410034/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_4

I've been waiting for a while to watch this film. I wasn't disappointed either.

A really nice, gentle story about a ninety-year-old making a journey by bus from John O'Groats to Land's End.
Apart from various events on the way, his eventual arrival at his destination was very poignant.
No violence, no swearing, definitely worth watching.

I was rather apprehensive, as being a Timothy Spall fan, the last two of his films I've seen were, in my opinion, rubbish.
It Snows in Benidorm (2020) and The Obscure Life of the Grand Duke of Corsica (2021) were not what I've come to expect from someone I first saw in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet (1983-2004).
In that series he played Barry, from the Black Country. What I never knew until years later, he's a Londoner.

A Taxi Driver  (2017) 2hr 17mins  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6878038/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Based on a real-life story, the film centers on a taxi driver from Seoul who unintentionally becomes involved in the events of the Gwangju Uprising in 1980. It is based on German journalist Jürgen Hinzpeter's interactions with driver Kim Sa-bok.

For me this was yet another excellent foreign language film. Within ten minutes I was smiling at the portrayal of the taxi driver, he came over as a cheeky character.
In Korean with English subtitles. It's a very popular film in Korea.
Available on torrent.

Family Business (2019-2021)   https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10423460/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3
Comedy. Three series, six episodes per series.

The plot revolves around a failed entrepreneur, Joseph (Jonathan Cohen), who finds out that cannabis is about to be legalized in France. He consequently decides to change his kosher butcher shop, inherited from his father, into the first marijuana coffee-shop in France.
source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Business_(French_TV_series)

I watched the first two series six months ago and found it very funny. The humour translates well into English.
Saw the third series has just been released, and I'm watching it now.
It's in French, but as it's been shown on Netflix it comes with a choice of subtitles in 33 languages.
Available on torrent.
