Police have arrested two rescue workers for the theft of several public defibrillators that they sold to other rescuers. You have to be a particularly evil and sick SOB to do something like this. These people shouldn’t be charged with theft, they should be charged with attempted murder. 
 

The price quoted of 80,000 baht seems excessive to me. You can buy AED which are certified for outdoor and business use for under £1,500 or 60,000 baht. It’s possible to buy one for nearer 40,000 baht. Perhaps high import tax makes the higher in Thailand. Perhaps something the government could consider making tax free?

It’s so easy to forget that Thailand is such a unique place in the entire universe and therefore requires much more care and attention in the products it allows in. similar expensive consultation was applied some years back to mine detectors I seem to recall.

You are talking about these groups that used to shoot at each other in order to get to the accident scene first.

My wife got hit and run by a car in Bangkok 

She lost consciousness and waked up in the hospital 

 

One of those rescue trucks took her there

 

And they also took all her money.....

 That’s disgraceful. I’ve not heard of that before but I’m sure it must happen
