I Am Ashamed of the UK
You can't be serious - all the UK has done is rubber stamp or reinstall agreements with countries outside the EU that existed already when we were in the EU. other than that, if you look at value or populations they just can't compare. Today's measures are just implementing post-Brexit agreements that had to be delayed 5 times in order to keep some semblance of sense in th UK inflation situation. -

australians might take offence at that. someone bove suggested the empire/commonwealth might replace the EU - it shows that some have no idea how EU. wmpire or commonwealth works. The Commonwealth of Australia is a federation of six states and two self-governing territories. The national government is the Australian Government, also referred to as the federal government or Commonwealth government. The British Commonwealth of Nations was the result of the 1926 Balfour Declaration which stipulated that the relationship between Britain and her Dominions was equal in status. This stipulation was formalized officially in Section 4 of the Statute of Westminster in 1931. As for post Brexit agreements - do the math - there is absolutely no way that even in a century could the UK get to the level they had with the EU. -

Britain is not trying to regain an empire so yes there is no way it can do it, who said Britain is trying to do that? The commonwealth is just an honorary title, it has no power or jurisdiction, it is just a loosely linked club. "Check out how todays new border regulations have further screwed the UK economy.", you said. That is just a temporary thing, once the EU has stopped sulking and realise their exports to the UK will be affected we will come to a trade agreement like we had in the 1970s at some point. Now look at the positives of Brexit, we can make trade agreements with anyone we wish, it will take time, but taking time is better than never being able to do it as it was when we were in the EU. -

The oil reserves of Guyana are being newly tapped. Unfortunately our American 'allies' are the ones creaming it off... why not Britain?
