Never heard of her, or any of her films. Or am I looking in the wrong places for them. Googled her, and two films were mentioned. One of them in 2015. She died on Nov 18th. A while back to get shocked now! -

They will eat it, although it is not that good for them - just the same as feeding bread to ducks, pigeons and so on, it is a poor and sometimes harmful source of nutrition for them. But you are right in that most of it will end up rotting away at the bottom of the ponds. -
