surprisingly, CNN providing the best coverage perhaps of any news channel. Zero interest in CNN reporters but turn sound back on to listen avidly to the many former US NATO Generals giving their informed military & intelligence opinions there.UK Generals also worth listening to when on UK News channels

Our Russian Comrade wont answer so he just dodges answers typical . Theres little point in him posting on here anymore because he cant answer a question.

Of That “ one million”’ , West killed maybe 150k in Iraq /Afghanistan ( already in the Dark Ages) mostly specifically targeted very nasty murderous terrorists. No saints on that lot but possibly 50k civilians died being used as human shields by said evil guys. These c***s would actually live surrounded by their imprisoned women, old & kids, as if that would protect them. It Didn’t. Anything above that rough 200k is down to natives killing their own or pure nonsense figures.

No “ Civilians” deliberately targeted by West.Difference is Putin is targeting Civilians indiscriminately. This is all blindingly obvious.

According to Russian media, it is all fake news.

Iv'e rumbled you KRLMRX your just a bluffer who when confronted with a question you cannot answer so you revert to older conflicts off-topic and deflect.

Tim don't worry Putin will be disposed of by his own generals if he orders a Nuke Strike, and if he did manage to unleash 1 France and the UK Will unleash our own nukes and Obliterate Russia and wipe it off the face of the Earth. Putin knows this he is just trying to Bully the west. The only thing he will face is a war crime trial's against humanity and anyone connected with him will face justice.

You're a fool the Russian generals are the very people that see the nukes as just another weapon in their arsenal. The facts are that they will be expecting retaliatory strikes if they use them so if the UK and France and the US launch the Russians will escalate to a full strike on ALL targets and your precious England will be wiped off the Map along with Russia, France Germany and large parts of the US and even parts of far flung countries like Australia, Japan and elsewhere where the US has bases that might be used against whatever is left of Russia.

indeed, how soon we forget how much the US got away with mass murder

that's the real question indeed,

all a question of perspective and "funny" moral compass 🙂

The difference is western armed forces dont target hospitals and maternity wards.

The Russians do. Be it in Syria or the Ukraine.

it's like asking Northern Ireland to join the EU and not expect "troubles" from the English

or ask the South West in the US to join Mexico and secede from the US, let's see how long before the US Marines react "peacefully" like they did in Iraq and Afghanistan 😛

it's a territorial and cultural war,

Resolved by rational discussion , equitable agreement has & referendums in West.

You do understand that if NATO was to declare a no fly zone and shoot down Russian aircraft or worse make ground strikes on Russian columns in Ukraine Putin would Nuke every country involved. Don't think he won't if you think that you're a fool Putin will use Nukes without hesitation to the Russians nukes are just another weapon at their disposal.

Can I assure you first Tim that I am not a fool, but I tend to be very pragmatic.

From what I can see we are already involved in this war, would not supplying free arms to Ukraine sorta involve us, do you think that Putin is not worried in the slightest that our assistance is hampering his progress to steal another country and kill as many of its civilians as he possibly can.

So as far as I can see we have 3 choices to stop the genocide of the Ukrainians.

1. We sit back and cower under our beds and pretend it is not happening, this appears to be the choice that some on here are suggesting and let Putin carry on with his murderous spree and possibly further annexations involving mass murder and genocide.

2. The talks are all about Ukraine giving up its sovereignty, so no way is that going to happen. Plus sanctions are great except that the EU are so reliant on Putins black gold that while decrying Putin they are still funding his war.

3. Stand up and be counted, there is no evidence he will use nuclear weapons if we give air cover nor there is any evidence that he won't use any nukes if we hide under our beds.

The man is a total loony, a calculating loony at that, he has an ego as big as the Eiffel tower. But I am not saying which of these choices is the correct one and I'm glad I don't have to make that choice.

So which choice would you go for Tim, number 1?

being a gangster with a big criminal mindset is more honorable, isn't it?

Putin is growing and will soon catch up with his teachers from the "free west".

Elves do exist, I knew.

By the way, have you already begun an investigation into the reasons for the venality of Borrell to Putin, or will he get away with it?

revisiting old conflicts is normal.

events do not exist in a vacuum, each subsequent one is a consequence of the previous ones.

you, although not understanding it, are doing the same thing - Litvinenko, Nemtsov, Chechnya, Khrushchev and 1000 years of killing children  by Russian - all this creates a chain of causes and consequences.

I am not a fan of personalities, history is not written by them.

Putin can be blamed for many things, but he never made rash decisions. all his actions so far have been calculated and led to the desired result for him.

Not that I don’t agree with you , because I do. I think Putin’s threat of using nuclear weapons is a bluff to shape the battlefield. Unless you think Ukraine is the final objective, which I don’t, it really doesn’t matter if the west fights Russia now or once he attacks nato. Because he will threaten to use nuclear weapons then too. However the logistics of doing a no fly zone are just too hard at this point. You can do an air war, which is very different, but not a no fly zone.
That said, what the west is proposing to send to Ukraine is almost as good. They want to send anti aircraft missiles systems. Specifically SA-8, SA-10 and relatively modern S-300 batteries. Slovakia, Bulgaria and Greece have them. The S-300 would allow Ukraine to deny air space at a much higher altitude than their current weapons. No doubt Russia will claim its a huge escalation, but the fact is anti aircraft batteries are purely defensive weapons.

The desired result is a war he cant win and an economy thats a basket case?

< Edit> Putin is no loony. Putin is just Russian. He was pushed to this by NATO and the US, they have spent the last twenty years poking the bear and recently they have crossed a Russian red line by promising the Ukraine membership in NATO. That was a step too far. And yes I agree that Ukrainians have the right to self determination but NATO membership amongst other things breaks several agreements made in the past dating back to dissolution of the USSR. What did they expect Putin to do bend over and take it up the ass?

Given all that right now what the world needs is to get him to stop this invasion and get him to the negotiating table. To do that the EU needs to grow a pair and make sanctions stick. To do that means they will have to pay for their mistakes and that will cost. They are not reliant on Russian gas and oil they just don't want to pay a higher price. They can source most of their gas needs from Australia with a higher logistics cost. They can source the oil from other sources too. It will cost money that they don't want to pay but they have all summer to get the logistics in place. Putin must be forced to the table by non military means. He can and will use nukes if pushed not because he is crazy but because if you try to defeat him militarily then nobody will win accept China and the world they will inherit will be a radioactive wasteland.

I don't read posts that are insulting, if you are not mature or educated enough to discuss a topic without name calling maybe you should refrain from posting untill you have grown up.
