You were pretty game to try that, pun intentional.  Was the flavour, spices aside, to your liking?

Yes I should have mentioned

I liked it alot

And with your pun intended

It was a bit more gamey and tough but with many dishes in Thailand, the sauce and the spices and vegetables dominate the taste

Was in BKK last weekend and wanted to try these more upmarket casual Thai places

The chefs worked at Fine Dining Thai restaurants and then left to start their own casual Thai places

They were ok but I said to my wife that you can't reinvent Thai food

This was Slow Cooked Beef Ka Prow

I thought I would love it but actually didn't think was that great

Wow really? I don’t know I want to try it

That is everyone's reaction

Especially on my Facebook from America

But it really is more bland than chicken

Also this is not rat on the street

This is a field rat that eats good food

Did it come with an organic label? 555

Im told Cambodian's catch them around Pnom Phen rubbish dumps and sell into Thailand, though I'd assume not widely distributed.  But still ....

I had some of the best Mexican food of my life......in Thailand

And I'm still confused how the hell she is doing this!

Manana in Ao Nang

I went in and it was busy

Actually left and came back an hour later and they had 1 table open

The cook/owner, Sonya, is a Thai lady cooking amazing Mexican food.

She is making sophisticated Mexican food, this is not some Tex-Mex place

She's making proper Mexican dishes

1st night duck and mango tacos

2nd night had amazing Birria tacos

I originally asked if the owner was from Mexico

Nope....Thai lady

I ended up taking to her

She never been to Mexico.

She just loves Mexican food

I then figured she went to culinary school

Nope she said she just loves cooking and taught herself how to male Mexican food

I'm still floored that a Thai woman is doing this....
