Yes Brexit has emboldened the far right.... they think they can use violence to restrict others' liberties.

Another reason to be ashamed of the UK at present

Brexit is best supported by former Labor voters, disillusiomed by multiculturalism. These people are nit interested in 'far rigjt' culture war drivel, nor are they enthused by capitalism, or assaults on the NHS... orntheir own stare benefits.

No Belief. Facts. Wikipedia “ British Empire”. Read it.

No time to waste to try to educate self - loathing, murder supporting, closed- minded, anti- British socialists.

The man is a lying, degenerate, fool of a man child. Thank goodness he's gone never to return.

Yet he was the only unifying “ big beast” of the Tories. He got an 80 seat Tory Majority.

Churchill no angel either……. who is at that work / level ?  Irrelevant to National Interest in fact.

He destroyed the Corbynite Hamas- Loving Jew -Hating Marxists  at the ballot box and public mind.

He also got the optimum Brexit Done.
Undone by having a piece of cake etc. Absurd.

I was replying to a post by Pinetree. I don't recall him mentioning British Empire.

He mentioned he was proud to serve for what Britain represented.

I don't know his age, but I don't think he's that old!!

I've said earlier that one of the main problems of th current UK government is they are a single issue government - they are a "break-off" from the older Tories and full of MPs with no experience, no plan and no ethics.......

Sunak has been scraping the barrel looking for issues to divert public attention from the major problems facing the UK in the hope it will improve his chances of re-election....and now to make things look better we have the reinstatement of a REMAINER PM from the previous old Tory party . Even he has had to review the mess in UK caused by Brexit. Unfortunately as an unelected member of the house of Lords there is going to be considerable opposition and questioning of this appointment

I know what you mean, they should have arrested that five year old kid, thrown him in jail and thrown away the key, he could have done a lot of damage with the weapon he is holding.

They should have arrested his parents for child abuse.

He was undone by being a lying, duplicitous, scum bag, who broke laws he put in place, but didn't understand. His intelligence, such as it is, never matches his ego.  He should stick to the entertainment industry, where he can be the theatrical clown that he is. And I was a life long Tory; no longer.

There was a time when the UK did stand for some good. All of that disappeared by the 80's. No sooner had the UK liberated the Falklands and was pivotal in the removal of a despotic murderous military dictatorship in Argentina, then the holier than thou finger pointing started.

Great Britain nowadays promotes things like abortion and homosexuality throughout the world, working with the USA. Though historically, she was a great nation, unpleasant foreign powers pull her strings. I prefer Asia to get away from Britain's behavior, both politically, and as a wretched culture.

You obviously know nothing about the topics as poofterism  has been around ever since Chaucer was writing about some lady and her shallots . It was part of Cambridge's fabric and the male secretions from past centuries are ever present in the student lodgings. As for abortions, the Europeans were inventing potions and methods to terminate pregnancy since women were pregnant. Perhaps you could direct your morality to preventing sexual relations between adults and minors.

I think it worked more along the lines of unemployed and criminal Europeans making their way to the UK. It also allowed France to dump its unwanted migrants in the UK.

Ignorance in particular of history is a predominant characteristic of Brexiteers..

“There is a remedy which ... would in a few years make all Europe ... free and ... happy. It is to re-create the European family, or as much of it as we can, and to provide it with a structure under which it can dwell in peace, in safety and in freedom. We must build a kind of United States of Europe.” - Churchill

Several prominent British leaders advocated for a united Europe in the aftermath of World War II, recognizing the need for closer cooperation to prevent future conflicts and rebuild the war-torn continent. Among the most notable figures were:

Winston Churchill: In a 1946 speech at the University of Zurich, Churchill delivered a powerful appeal for a "United States of Europe," emphasizing the importance of a united front to safeguard peace and democracy. He envisioned a "European family" bound by shared values and institutions.

Ernest Bevin: As Foreign Secretary from 1945 to 1951, Bevin played a crucial role in shaping post-war European cooperation. He supported the establishment of the Council of Europe in 1949 and the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) in 1951, laying the groundwork for deeper European integration.

Clement Attlee: Labour Prime Minister from 1945 to 1951, Attlee initially expressed reservations about closer European ties, but he gradually came to support the ECSC, recognizing its potential to foster economic recovery and prevent future industrial conflicts.

Harold Macmillan: Conservative Prime Minister from 1957 to 1963, Macmillan was a staunch advocate for European unity. He applied for Britain's membership in the European Economic Community (EEC), the successor to the ECSC, but his efforts were ultimately unsuccessful due to concerns about the implications for Britain's Commonwealth ties.

These British leaders, along with many others, recognized the devastating impact of war and the need for a new approach to European relations. Their calls for a united Europe laid the foundation for the European Union, which has played a pivotal role in promoting peace, prosperity, and cooperation across the continent.

All of these wonderful people were in favour of common sense, not the subjugation of the UK to the idiotic human rights tribunals of Brussels. It is ridiculous to demand that the UK allow its laws to be set by corrupt and incompetent Belgians or the protectionist French.

Did anyone see that degenerate idiot Boris Johnson at the Remembrance Day Service (still going on as I write this) .  That fxxk wit couldn't even be bothered to get a hair cut, he looks like a fat limp blond tramp.  Yet one more reason for my original post.  What a prick, among so many pricks.

At least he was laying a wreath and showing some respect. Certainly better than the  immigrants with zero respect for their host country's culture.

No. On the contrary, Brexit ensures that the UK is governed by laws made in the UK that reflect the desires and needs of the people. The EU is guilty of over reach and bullying. The UK would have stayed if the EU had not allowed corrupt deviant nations like Belgium or Luxembourg the influence they had. Who was Portugal or Spain to make demands of the UK?

Cameron, great, I read about it earlier, he was a great PM.

He got us out of the usual financial mess left by the Labour louts after their term in office.

Yep, finances are bad at the moment as is the case all around the world, Germany now seems to be the sick man of Europe and China is going through a downturn in exports and a collapsing housing sector.

Posh? I would say Cameron is polished and educated.

"ESTHER McVey has made a shock return to the Cabinet as Rishi Sunak's "common sense tsar" tasked with tackling the scourge of wokery", according to some newspaper items.

Great, let's get rid of all this political correctness crap and get back to plain speaking.

At the moment until she gets her feet under the desk you are not allowed to call people muppets, it might hurt their feelings as it is not wokery.😀
