How does this affect someone who wants to send money to Thailand from overseas?...Can it still be wired as its always has been or will there biometrics needed?

Bank of Thailand governor Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput said the amount of 50,000 baht was chosen because it is a frequent target of fraudsters.

So let me guess, fraudsters will go down to 48k-ish, then?

Sooo... we as foreigners cant transfer more than 50000 baht per transaction or more than 200000 baht per day with app...? Seriously? Using debit card still works I guess?

According to CIMB. This plan is not uhm planned out.
