Why did they not stop?

Should the police let them flee?

Bad luck, in case a moto(rider) isnt quicker as a (most likely) pick up truck.

When a suspect is identified, why wanted to follow the suspect until ending up in an high speed chase. Just corner the suspect immediately. It is easy for the officers to call for support via walkie-talkie and corner the suspect instantly without any chase.
