One reason, whether Shopee. Lazada or whoever, I always select 'pay on delivery'.

I do now! I had a notification on my phone saying a transaction in Nova Scotia had been declined due to the wrong date entered on my card, Nova Scotia, never been, I live in Thailand, they had my name and correct card number, I'd just ordered and paid by card for something coming from S Korea on lazada  Cancelled the card and now do only cash on delivery!! Coincidence, maybe....

Very worrying. One can only hope that the authorities will find a way to prevent this kind of thing happening. Problem is, whenever people order anything over the internet they have to provide a lot of personal information.

The same is true if you buy over the phone or in a shop and pay by card. I use a charge card supplied by Mastercard for any credit card transactions. I usually keep £100 on the card and top up as needed. That way, if anyone steals the card details, the most I can loose is what’s on the card, often well below £50.
