Commuters, pedestrians, and drivers had a lucky escape yesterday morning when torrential rain and floods caused part of the Chaeng Wattana Road in Nonthaburi province near Bangkok to collapse. The finger of blame was pointed toward the unfinished MRT Pink Line for the second time in a week. This kind of thing seems to be happening almost weekly. Ageing overhead roads falling apart and now tunnelling for underground services with what seems to be without the proper geological studies. It must raise concerns about how long it will be before a major disaster takes place.

Yet again the Anutin family firm is implicated in shoddy work! No wonder the little man has been a tad low profile recently. He must be feeling the heat from the shoddy work on Phuket airport and the new parliament beginning to point in his direction.

Not very long and the rich perpetrators will pay a pittance in fines and damages for the deceased and injured.  Then go back to doing the same thing the next day.
