Week 5 results and points tally.

FFFF week 5.xls 10.5 kB · 2 downloads

@Slacker77 has opened a marginal lead, but that could quickly change.
A long way to go yet.

I enjoy every minute while it lasts 😇

Next week i'm going to Thailand and usually lose a lot of points by failing to submit the predictions 😂

What dates are you in Thailand @Slacker77

Absolutely nothing stopping you from post dating your weekly predictions for the time you'll be in Thailand.
I'll then add your predictions to the appropriate XL sheets.

Still waiting for CS to post this weekend's predictions before I post week 6 XL sheet.
He's probably still counting his week 5 score 🙄
Premier League predictions: Chris Sutton takes on Dry Cleaning guitarist Tom Dowse to pick scores for the midweek games

He competes against musical artists each week.

Waiting for the week it reads;
''Chris Sutton takes on Khowtang (aka Marble Eye) from the Thaiger Forum.  😂

I'll be sure to mention @Slacker77 in the posts, so check your emails for a notification and reminder.

You'll be back in the UK in plenty of time for the World Cup game then, when all premiership fixtures are suspended.  😉

For the first time ever, the Premier League will take a prolonged mid-season break to accommodate the winter 2022 World Cup in Qatar.  The World Cup will kick off with the first fixture between the hosts Qatar v Ecuador on Sunday, November 20th 2022. The final will be played on Sunday, December 18th.

As a result, Premier League sides will play 16 rounds of fixtures before breaking for the World Cup, with the last set of matches before the pause to be played on the weekend of November 12th, 2022. Fixtures will resume again on Boxing Day, December 26th.

Ultimately, this means the FFFF, LPS and the FPL games will be suspended during the World Cup event.

However, I'll be conferring with @BigHewer to fill this void with a separate World Cup game along the lines of the LPS or FFFF game - watch this space!

@BigHewer and I got our heads together for a World Cup Game.
For those who play the FFFF game, an insight into the rules and game, which will follow the lines of this game with the opportunity of earning a few bonus points along the way.

I'll be responsible for entering the results and scores, whilst @BigHewer will act as the VAR anchor man.

So, I'm marking the scores on the XL sheet this morning, just before we go out for the day to do more work on the old village house renovations, and it's a rather slow week, results wise, and although I've only got two correct results, they're also both the correct scores.  🤗

It's a while since I last scored a ton and with 2 games left to play could it be 3 times lucky.
Glancing at the haze of yellow and green highlighted squares, I appear to be currently leading and that warm confident smug feeling starts to think maybe this is my week to top the scores.

Then I blink, and see another player with two green square - wait! And two yellow squares. 🙄
Jeez, it's that big fella @BigHewer.
Suddenly the mood changes, my whole day is ruined, and the wife is going to feel my wrath.

Well, another round of middling scores for most.
@Slacker77 blowing hot and cold.
@Marble-eye needs to change Khowtang's dog food. (Or feed him 🐶)

But ........... and we have another new leader in the competition, with a top score of 110 points this weekend and Clint Eastwood @BigHewer tops the table. 😇

I'm still waiting for that elusive ton 🤔

Week 7 fixtures for games played Sat Sept 10th - Mon Sept 12th.

Fulham v Chelsea
AFC Bournemouth v Brighton & Hove Albion
Leicester City v Aston Villa
Liverpool v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Southampton v Brentford
Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur
Arsenal v Everton
West Ham United v Newcastle United
Crystal Palace v Manchester United
Leeds United v Nottingham Forest

Some tough fixtures to call this week IMO, with a few potential 'banana skin' games that could go either way.
Liverpool and Chelsea both playing below par, whilst A Villa and Everton may have halted the rot, and we suddenly have a rejuvenated Man Utd.

Good luck to all players.
