A work permit programme aimed at attracting rich foreigners and drawing in foreign investment has been launched by the Thailand Privilege Card company, which operates the Elite Card scheme. My guess is anyone willing to put that much money at risk as investment funds (in a kingdom governed by a military junta) is not some who stays in one place long enough to work.
