As a tourist destination, Puhket has its share of crime involving both Thais and tourists. Last Sunday, a foreign man stole 3,600 baht from a Phuket cab driver.

Compared with a murder....

He was a gangster, deported from Canada, seems like poetic justice.

This guy has been dealing with the wrong people. He took ten rounds. Someone wanted to make a statement!

Good riddance.

10 out of 19 (a full mag?) , that is, in my eyes, more passion than a statement! Much less  professional shooters/killers!

Thanks - very revealing.

As he was shot ten times, and nineteen empty cases were found indicating at least nineteen rounds were fired, it seems a bit unlikely no-one noticed until "A cleaner who worked at the resort found Singh’s dead body the next morning."

So the Canadians can deport a Canadian Passport Holder? But he's still Canadian

Interesting story!  Cartoon Popcorn GIF by SpongeBob SquarePants

He was a dual national, having moved to Canada when he was seven and entitled to Canadian citizenship by marriage.

Just the sort of upstanding citizen Thailand's looking for.

Such Indians (annoyingly) often have two western passports.

So if he retained say a UK or USA passport he could indeed be Deported from Canada with Canadian nationality stripped. Mystery is why he still had his Canadian passport ..

A full mag is normally 9 - 14 depending on the calibre.

Professional hits of 'two in the chest, one in the head' are for the movies.

If Deported that “Canadian citizenship” is gone ….. but kind of moot now. Probably thought he could come here and deal with the Thai mafia on his terms…. first & last mistake here…..

My guess would be that he'd lost his Canadian nationality and simply had a 'spare' Canadian passport in another name.

My point on the 19 rounds fired and the cleaner finding the body was that there's no way that nobody heard anything and nobody noticed nineteen rounds being fired in front of a hotel!

Yes, standard mags, you 're probably right. Just there are lots of 19 rounds mags available. Not only for Glocks.

I just missed the part, that the video is showing (should show?) two people shooting.

On the other hand, the bullet casings on the ground look a bit like only one was shooting, coming from the bushes and walking around the body, towards the road. Coincidence?

Police will find out if two guns where involved, methinks.

I would like to know where the 9 bullets are, which did not hit the guy!

“Spare” passports so very risky since 9/11. Fingerprints / Facial cross checks these days would likely eventually flag his true identity unless he was a spook or stayed in one “easy” country for years without crossing airport borders.

See why he might have chosen Thailand then …

no phone call made as no public phones anymore and private phones all traceable now which would be a risk to caller here.no reason to take that risk as guy has to be presumed dead from so many rounds fired🤨

a shooting at night could easily go unnoticed.

1/It's chinese new time and strings of fire crackers going off at all hours of the day and night is not uncommon.

Oh come on!

Nineteen rounds from a pistol or two, even to the untrained ear, doesn't sound anything like 'fire crackers'.

2/if a pro hit the weapons were probably silenced.
