So my wife has to accept the vaccine that you say she must have and not have any choice of her own.

No, she doesn't, of course not.

Just being  "slightly" protected, till the chosen stuff comes, is a lot better, as being not protected at all. Imho

Since we all only find out after infection, if our body can deal with the virus or not, to get at least some help against hospitalisation or ICU or death should be valuable.

But of course, your wife has the choice.

Just 'Moderna or nothing' is only one option, I think. Az plus Moderna would be another.

As long you can stay away from sinovcac, there are options

There are plenty of vaccines available neither of us is a virologist here so blaming Sinovac which isn't even a bad vaccine, especially not in the combinations government is now doing - so enough posibilities. Even Pfizer was generally available or is now given as 2nd shot.

PS: I'm vaccinated with double Thai AstraZeneca and for my age this is far from ideal but now 1.5 month fully vaccinated and didn't turn into a frog anyways.

Yep, not a frog yet, good one.

Just keep an eye on a booster option, perhaps.

A friend of mine also got Az/Az, we both asked for antibody tests, the Az/Az are testing after the second shot on the level, Pfizer had before my second shot. And pfizers second is usually boostering that 10+ times

Still it should be in the area of preventing heavy sickness, but looking around for more options can't be wrong.

The friend of mine is thinking about a flight back to the home country, to grab a mRNA booster. In case nothing is offered here, next year.

Vaccines are a case study into the 2 types of people in this world.

Youve got people sitting back in the peanut gallery blaming everyone else for what is missing in their life while taking very little responsibility for themselves. Theyre still unvaccinated and desperate to blame anyone except themselves.

Thats the difference between winners and losers.

A winner would get on the front foot and procure a vaccine by doing whatever it took.

A loser would sit back, complain about the government and successful people while doing absolutely nothing to help themselves.

Take me for example. I checked the news daily, emailed my embassy weekly and asked everyone I knew if they could help me to get a vaccine.

I didnt sit in the peanut gallery complaining blah blah government. I got off my butt, travelled to Bangkok and had 2 Pfizer jabs in September.

TLDR: dont spend your whole life complaining about the government just because you lack the drive to take care of business yourself.

I don't know if for the AZ/AZ combination there will be any boosters in Thailand. There will be for Sinovac/Sinovac again, nothing wrong with Sinovac and some preventive measurements are better then none. I believe they're now cocktailing Sinovac + AstraZeneca kinda the same what Russia is experimenting with in Ukrain (Sputnik & AstraZeneca) - Again I'm no virologist.

If I had anything to say I would've wanted the Merkel combination (AZ+Moderna) or even AZ+Pfizer and for what it's worth, if I ever needed to roll back into my country of origin I will most likely go and get just Pfizer and from a neighboring country J&J why... just because I'm not too paranoid about vaccines have been getting them since I was a baby and I didn't turn into a Frog yet.

I did it to prevent hospitalization and lower the spread even if I lowered it by 10% it's already less then it was before.

Please anyone correct me if I am wrong , it is not a vaccine they are pushing , it does not vaccinate you from any disease  , its is registered as " Gene " therapy , so when you go to get your shots keep that in mind , you are part of a global experiment . An experiment using Gene therapy with unknown outcomes ... time will tell .

Well done - you beat me to it. It's not a "vaccine":

Old news guys. And debunked ages ago, yet it keeps popping up for the uninformed.

If you can be bothered to read the full article (and try to understand it) then have a good time:

My guess is, they will booster AZ with AZ. As long they can not get the fingers on Moderna or Pfizer, in needed amounts.

More interesting will be: The Pfizer vaccinated, in Thailand, will they get a mRNA Booster, after 6 month? Or after 12, if taking in account that Pfizer vaccinated people assumingly have still better numbers, after 6 month, as AZ/AZ had, after the second shot?

Interesting to observe. And yes, flying home for a booster is another chance/option

As long, as coming back in is not too difficult!

Who the hell you think you are to say something like that? Not to mention that your comment is full of errors and lack of knowledge, and simply badly informed, a complete non-sense. I am personally vaccinated, my choice, but I will always protect the freedom of choice to ABSOLUTELY anyone on this planet for these vaccines, for any vaccine, for anything medically related that should concern us all indivually and basta. You get vaccinated to protect yourself, you are not protecting anyone else with these vaccines.

Please detail the errors and lack of knowledge because I can't see any... but I can see a spelling mistake in your post.

The comment you refer to is a fair opinion and the world over governments and medical specialists are saying vaccination is what will get C19 under enough control to allow normal life to resume.

absolutely... stop pointing fingers at your fellow citizens and look to your leadership... what will you do when 100 percent are vaccinated and you still are under the thumb of your leadership with ridiculous restrictions?  who will you blame then?

If 100% is vaccinated the bar scene would've been open, tourist would've been allowed back in without Thailand Pass just a proof of vaccination and PCR on departure.

Fact is you spread the viral load and allow mutations to take place at a heavier phase then when somebody is vaccinated. You don't have to agree with me nor have to point me towards the CCC or your conspiracy why vaccination is bad, just accept that by not vaccinating this has worldwide consequences for you. If that's OK with you and your OK without a social life by all means, don't get vaccinated live in isolation. I'm not telling you that you should vaccinate yourself, I'm just telling you that you and you only are capable of making wise decisions but my mom always told me that decisions have consequences and so does not vaccinating.

Ah yes. Those dastardly laws. You want to live in a place free of the rule of law? Perhaps South Sudan or Somalia is more your speed. Plenty of freedom over there to go about your business as you please. You probably don’t realise this, but it’s your state- a functioning state, complete with laws and rules, which affords

you the good nights sleep you will enjoy tonight. You owe a debt of gratitude to your state, whether you believe it or not. For without a functioning state your life would be short, miserable and brutal.

Unfortunately it either turns out in one of the following ways:

- We wait until 100% of the people is vaccinated. Which won't happen because some people (understandable) won't take the vaccine.

That leaves the following options open:

- Everything reopens except for unvaccinated people. Some people will be against this because of freedom.

- Open everything for everyone. With the risk of getting sick as your personal choice. But will be protested by the people hiding under their bed because it's unfair that some want to be free but they chose not to.

the frustration of people that prepaid for vaccines is understandable. But in the contract that they agreed to when paying, it gave an "expected period of arrival" and specifically mentioned that there were no guarantees.

With all due respect to the people who paid in advance... Knowing that Anutin is in charge here, to pay for something like this in advance is possibly the most stupid thing someone can do.

I wouldn't put it so strongly, as they are sort of over a barrel if they want something else than was offered. But simply looking at the contract, the hospitals haven't defaulted so there really isn't a reason to complain about them, even though I fully understand the subscriber's frustration.

What about the stuff ups by this stupid government. Stuffed up a donation of how many doses of vaccine from America because this stupid government claimed that it did not go through the right channels for a donation. Then there is the stopping of Thammerat University from buying Moderna vaccine direct instead of going through the incompetent government system. So how much vaccine has been stopped from coming into the country by this incompetent stupid government who has just spent money to purchase fighter aircraft for the military as if their is a war. Yes, there is a war but it is a war against Covid and fighter aircraft will not work against Covid so that money would be better spent buying vaccine for the people

If there was a war they would surrender

Well, I sat on my butt, didn't   check the news,  never emailed my embassy, never asked anyone I knew if they could help me to get a vaccine, avoided Bangkok like the plague, stayed happily in my own province, and I had 2 Pfizer jabs in September too 😯.

Mutations are partly a result of leaky vaccines.  You may see an end to this in your mind but there is no guarantee 100 percent vaccinations will change things.  So you believe someone who is young and in good health with a very high chance of not having any problem with covid should take an mRNA vaccine that is not tested long term so you can enjoy a few beers in the bar?

The fact of the matter is states often abuse their power.  If you are naive enough to believe that all states are acting in the best interests of you then go ahead and keep dreaming.  You sound like you are reading out of a Political Science 101 textbook.

Not true flu also still mutates and this gets vaccinated for 50+ years now. I just know that it will end things but even with 1% not vaccinating it will not end and thus these people should have restrictions.
Good health still can put you in the hospital with Covid so no this isn't any argument - Many of my friends tried it without vaccinating they barely made it and they all thought f*** it it's just a Flu well one that almost killed them. If they died as a result of not getting vaccinated I wouldn't feel bad it's their choice and it's also choice of the gov't to stop providing healthcare to those whom are not vaccinated.

It's proven that mutations will exist but if 100% vaccinated was managed and maintained it's on a way less speed then with the current 50% (world population).

So don't get vaccinated if your still believing in the conspiracy bullshit. I'm fine with that just know the consequences will be your alone. If that's what you want being locked out of society due to the choice of not vaccinating it's solely yours. The consequences of this action are again solely yours.

Here we go again with the "conspiracy" bs.  Another slur word designed to intimidate others.  Get a grip.  Bootom line is no one knows what will happen and they are finding the effectiveness of the vaccines are waning.  So like I asked before why should a young healthy individual  with a robust immune system and no preconditons rush to get vaccinated with a mRNA vaccine that has not been long term tested?  Please explain this? To protect you? No conspiracy here just a bit of common sense.  Certainly some people can benefit from vaccinations but to group everyone together is ridiculous.

You funny man. I didn't vaccinate because I was worried to die. No because I wanted the world to return to normal standards. There is no such thing as a robust immune system people whom thought to have this have died - Again this is a choice too I'm fine with people dying because of the choices people make.

I don't want to be restricted because some people think their immune system is so amazing that they should be allowed to move freely while I did take the jabs without thinking I was going to die.

Just quickly:

According to the latest research there isn't much difference (if any) between the chance of transmitting the virus from or to a vaccinated or unvaccinated person. For catching and spreading the virus both are virtually the same.

The main difference is the risk to yourself.

When catching the virus, a vaccinated person has a much reduced chance of ending up in hospital and an even more reduced chance of dying.

We see this in the stats because most that end up in severe condition in hospital or die are the unvaccinated.

The other difference is that the unvaccinated claim to make their own choice, but lay the bill for the consequences at the door of society. Because they make an individual choice, for which we pay collectively. And while they fill hospital wards, others are faced with delays or cancellations of treatment.

In that, it is not much different from smoking etc. which increases chances of health problems, but for that at least they contribute extra in added taxes.

But are we as a society okay with someone's choice against a vaccine, to see them roam free and take their chances, and to then see them taking countless hospital beds preventing others from required care, and should society pay their hospital bill and medication, when the majority have taken the risk of the jab for the good of society (and themselves)?

These are difficult matters.

Personally I'm all for choice and not for forced vaccination. But in my opinion free choice comes with accepting the consequences of that choice.
