As stated Greece has a problem with this, Brazil also, what you save on toilet blockages  you have to spend on air freshener !!

No TP in our house, we rely on the bum gun accuracy of visitors to our restrooms.

Although that accuracy is in doubt after having 9 family guests for a couple of days last week ( death in the family ). I’ll spare you the details ….. let’s just say too much Chang and dodgy food supplied at the temple it was a real shitshow !!

It's because the standard soil pipe size is a nominal 4 inch (UK standards), to connect to the 'pan connector' the toilet pan sits on.

While I like this new phrase, that must mean length not diameter. There is an incredibly low chance of said fudge dragon lodging sideways in the soil pipe.

Plus in a previous life while running a central heating repair business for a few years, I would get called out to look at this very problem of 'blocked toilets'.
Usually it large matter (faecal or sanity products) which became wedged anywhere between the toilet pan and sloping soil pipe, before it went vertical (if an upstairs toilet).
Sorry to say, I've had my hands down a few other people's toilets - in a professional capacity of course.

Are you sure the guys who mixed the concrete have allowed for snow and ice? Apparently it can cause cracks. De-icer on the concrete can be a problem too.

I don't see those types of trees a lot in Thailand, or never notice them
