Or I can buy fresh roasted coffee beans from the local beanery... grind them fresh everyday right at home... and enjoy an excellent mug (2 cups) of coffee... all for about 2 baht... as they say in Thailand - "up to you!"  Sorry... add the 8 baht worth of water to that... TOTAL 10 baht.

You are either getting your ground coffee at a huge discount or your maths is wrong. I’m paying 250 baht for 500 grams of ground coffee. Out of that 500 grams I get 33 cups. 1 double shot is 15mg. 250 divided by 33 is 7.5. So it works out to 7.5 baht per cup. I use tap water so no expense there.
