What’s the superstition attached to that I wonder…

In these parts; if a Man Utd shirt is hung from a prominent place; a gate, a tree or even a bamboo post, the Widow Ghost will probably not enter. But to be 100% effective, there has to be a hand-written sign very close by.

Now, the Widow Ghost is a lonely lost soul looking for a mate, to take to the after-life. If she senses that a man is close by, she enters the property, lays on top of the man and sucks his breath while he is sleeping. In the morning he is - of course - brown bread.

Now the sign must be written in Thai and say ''No Man Lives Here.'' That's in English of course. Don't know the Thai. And it has been proved to work; over and over. To be honest, I can say that it only works with a Man Utd shirt.

Of course the doubters will say 'Why not a Liverpool or Forest shirt?' I say ''Try the other shirts. See if they save you.''

Actually, I did a very silly thing when i first arrived at the village. Had about 69 women, baying for me body. I was lucky to get out of the predicament alive. Luckily, I was quite fit then, and took off. Losing the last lady in a sugar field about 2k from the village. When I crept back, some time later, everything was calm. The Mrs had explained to the hordes that it was just a huge misunderstanding. And peacefulness returned to the village.
