Same sex marriage makes little sense, unless you separate sex from reproduction, and reduce marriage to a feel good lifestyle choice, implying other alternatives are equal to marriage and family.

It makes a great deal of sense to those that wish to have the legal formality of a marriage, which affords spouses the same legal, medical and financial benefits that have only been granted to male/female registered marriages.

A couple is a couple, regardless of their gender and they shouldn't be prevented from enjoying the same benefits, afforded by law, to other couples.

A very good point. 

If a same-sex couple has a legally registered marriage in their home country, and one of them is legally working in Thailand, will the spouse be allowed a Non Immigrant O (dependent) visa?

Also, if a same-sex couple marriage of a Thai national and a foreigner is registered here, will that foreigner be allowed a Non Immigrant O (spouse) visa?
