The man then offered to lend the group a fishing net on the condition that the girl went with him to a hut 3 kilometres away from the rice field. The victim revealed that her male siblings told her to go with the man but she did not want to go.

Something doesn't make sense here. Looks like the poor child was a trade off for the fishing. Better shake the grandmother and other siblings for a bigger picture.

He is described as a one eyed blind man but then " the suspect managed to flee the scene on his motorcycle.". . . . . . Not bad going for a blind man!
