Not a surprise as the same happens during the 60's with most of the electronic items coming from Taiwan. Now China has followed that footsteps.

They are really good mates aren't they, so Thailand should by pleased that the criminals in China, of whom there are many millions, plus its despotic leaders,  copy their original .  If you sup with the Devil, make sure you use a long spoon. As the Chinese hoover up Thai businesses, property and land, and loan millions upon millions of dollars to the Thais  they need to worry; a lot. This is not about rice, it's about an untrustworthy and predatory China.

Same brand and same packaging. 

Not noticed it in Thailand, but the stuff that I buy in 10kg bags from Asian food stores at home (some very big ones nearby, Manchester has a large Chinese community) has become rather hit and miss quality wise in the last couple of years.
