Electricity bills in Thailand could become more expensive than ever by September, according to a source at the Office of Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). In the last 4 months of the year, the cost of electricity in Thailand could break the 5 baht per unit barrier for the first time, rising by 90 to 100 satang per unit. The new concessionaire has not clearly stated exactly how much gas from Erawan will be produced for Thailand in future

So the problem is not the high price of LNG. The problem is that cheap gas found in Thailand is going "somewhere else".  China?  Who's responsible for that ?  Who's making money here at the expense of Thai citizens?

I seem to remember a few years ago that they were changing some of the power stations to burning rice hull instead of coal (my local dealer certainly jacked the price of rice hull!). Has Thailand since stopped growing rice or was that just another flopped government cunning plan??

Under the emergency decree in place maybe they can Nationalise the Erawan fields and give Thailand back what it should have.

Who is sucking the gas and money. And why are they allowed to bleed the good This people dry? Junta business?
