Its just more deflection by the Putin bots. They know how this works. Keep deflecting the thread and arguing about ANYTHING other than what shows Russia and Czar Putin in a bad light.

Eventually the mods get sick of trying to keep the thread in order and close it.

Dont get sidetracked by this nonsense. The thread is about Czar Putins invasion of the Ukraine.

Lets stay on topic.

It is the same structure and theories we could follow already before and yes the Putin supporter use their theories, too. Even in front of the UN , unbelievable but happened.

All of which are currently being sanctioned. Even Switzerland, a more neutral country you could not find, is seizing the assets of Czar Putin and his corrupt chums.

The west has previous experience with this. They will find the hidden loot and take it.

I wrote about offshores and shell companies. not about the West and Switzerland.

And where do you think those offshore accounts and shell companies are?

Its all going wrong isn't it Mr Marx. The Ukraine was supposed to be defeated within 24 hours. The mighty bear had pounced. Get it done and its easy to declare it a fait accompli. Install a pro Putin government and its back to the Kremlin for tea and medals.

But here we are. The Russian army is now reduced to siege tactics. Striking civilian areas of towns and cities. Inflicting huge casualties on the people you came to "liberate" from the neo-Nazi regime which was oppressing them. Except thats not true is it. The vast majority, even in Russian speaking regions are fighting tooth and nail to drive the Russians out.

The Russian army is in disarray. Lacking supplies and leadership. Its getting so bad Czar Putin is even considering the use of chemical weapons. How many children will that kill? How many kids have to die before you actually admit this entire invasion was a mistake?

The west is now more united than it has been since before the end of the cold war. Now committed to increase its military budget year on year. Even if you take the Ukraine you now face massed western forces on even more fronts.

Meanwhile your economy is in freefall. Its not a case of recreating the great Russian empire as it is a case of recreating the days before the collapse of the Soviet Union.

There is no winning outcome in all of this for Czar Putin. Not a single one. How many he kills before the inevitable remains to be seen but he is done.

This is the beginning of the end for the mighty bear.

Russia is threatening weapon shipments from the west into Ukraine. Says they are legitimate targets.

https://www.politico.com/news/2022/03/12/russia-warns-u-s-over-arms-shipments-to-ukraine-00016820?_amp=true

Clearly another Putin empty threat trying to shape the battlefield. Militarily the best way to attack an enemy supply line is at its source. Once they leave it immediately disperses and strikes have minimal effect. Never mind Ukraine has an enormous border with the west creating unlimited access points. To attack at the source would mean striking NATO directly. Considering Russia can’t take out Ukraine, to attack NATO would be folly. Any attempt by Putin to get the west to stop sending weapons has long past. Their objective now is to pump as many weapons into Ukraine as possible, to bleed out the Russian army.

Do you know how they answered to a russian warship on snake Island?  F...yourself and go

Really?

looked at the English-language media and indeed, this fake is still alive.

the reality is this - on the 1st day of the fighting, the Ukrainian side announced that the border guards from Snake Island refused the Russian offer to surrender and died heroically. On the same day, President Zelensky presented them all with hero awards posthumously.

A few days later, Russian TV showed these heroes in full force, alive and well, in an interview they said that they had surrendered to the Russian military. A few days later, the Ukrainian government recognized them as alive.

All this information is available on the Internet in Russian and Ukrainian, everyone has already forgotten this fake, but only the "independent media of free democracies" forgot to inform their citizens about the end of this story.

What a disgrace.

It is noticeable that some non Westrn media are now stepping back in the rhetoric used in presenting facts( as best  known) from their initial all out compliant stance as the "posturing" is confirmed while people die.

What are you referring to?

We all know that Russia lies consistently. What are these non-western media outlets stepping back?

for the authors who write that this was not provoked by anything and modern Ukraine is a democratic peace-loving state.

On January 1 of each year, for the past 10 years, in the center of Europe, in the center of the Ukrainian capital, a torchlight (hello, third Reich) procession takes place in honor of the birthday of Stepan Bandera (during WW2 he fought on the side of Hitler against the USSR, the inspirer of the massacres of civilian Russians , Jews, Ukrainians).

In addition to various speeches about the superiority of Ukraine and Ukrainians over foreigners, there is a slogan with the words "Muscovites on knives." Muscovites is a derogatory name for Russians in Ukrainian.

I repeat, they are shouting in the center of the capital of Ukraine every year for at least 10 years.

There is a legend that one woman who survived the Holocaust said: “REMEMBER FOREVER that if someone somewhere promises to kill you - BELIEVE THEM. good and nice people that they just say it like that. When they move from words to deeds, IT WILL BE LATE."

I'm not saying that all Ukrainians are like that, I'm sure that most of them are simply afraid to say something against these neo-Nazi marches and words

You are justifying the unjustifiable. The thousand of deaths and millions displaced are all on the Russians. The Russian army is killing people and crushing cities all in the name of reunification. At least that’s what Putin said wasn’t it?

Be careful in pointing out Nazis, because Russia is surely acting like one. That rabbit hole leads to Moscow.

So far 2 of the alleged reasons why Putin attacked Ukraine have turned out to be somewhat proven true.

1. denazification.

2. biolabs.

Alleged reason number 1 is easily found with a google search.

Alleged reason number 2 was somewhat confirmed by Victoria Nuland at a senate hearing.

If Czar Putin wants to conduct denazification he should start closer to home rather than his neighbor with a Jewish President and Prime Minister.

There are bio labs all over the world. Should Russia invade Thailand in order to get rid of its bio labs?

So your two main reasons for invasion are utterly fake.

They are not my reasons. (I think there is more this than we are being led to believe is all)

I would have appreciated if Marco Rubio could have asked "Why are you so concerned if Russia takes control of the labs?"

That is the question that is so compelling. Because if Ukraine is an old Soviet state, and the Soviets have Bio weapons from decades ago, why would anyone worry if the Bio labs in Ukraine are just the same as any other bio lab? Why was Victoria Nuland concerned?

It's just a question, Im not inferring anything,It just smells fishy.🙂

I personally believe these statements to be false. The reason comes down to not any media spin or propaganda. There is plenty of that coming from all sides.

If the Russian Federation is so confident about its "evidence" of these statements, why are they so unwilling to demonstrate it at the UN Security Council. I watched the meeting the other night and they were given several opportunities to show such evidence thereby striking down any alternate discussion. But they didn't. The same happened in previous General Assembly debate.

We often look for false or misleading information, spread by people and organisations with an agenda. But the UN live coverage is unfiltered, available for all to see without the talking heads or the media of any country spinning the discussion. Countries are free to make their own statements if they choose.

https://www.youtube.com/unitednations

This whole discussion about the reasons why Russia attacked Ukraine reminds me so much of the WMD spin for the Iraq invasion. It wasn't justified then and is certainly not now.

The world is far more sceptical these days as a result of those falsehoods.

I don't know how much of their forces are committed to the Ukraine Invasion. Be it 95% or less. But the evidence being seen is that it was not the cakewalk President Putin expected it to be. He has banned all such negative talk in Russia, clamped down on the media that doesn't support his views, arrested people for the same offence and acts more and more like a tyrant of old.

There may be some fact in what is being said. I don't have a personal "spy network" to find out. But the actions of Putin and Russia mask this and simply create a sense of disbelief in any of his statements for most of the rest of the world.

They have negotiated safe lanes and ceasefires in those lanes to evacuate civilians. But the Russian response seems to be to continue bombing areas they have publicly agreed not. A bomb is a pretty obvious example of not adhering to a negotiated ceasefire. How can anyone take them for their word or believe anything they say.

"Actions speak louder than words". Sadly, his actions are showing this to be true.

You hit the nail on head with that line in your reply.

I for one have lost faith in what the news media delivers us. The list of falsehoods and misconstrued narratives has only left me skeptical.

I am not saying that I categorically believe those 2 reasons to be true coming from Putin, But as an excuse then there is a difference, The Bio Weapon Lab hypothesis I learnt 2 weeks ago from a off stream person that showed how a lay over map of known labs and then targets hit corresponded, and then the Dept State removed the references to USA funding of the labs off their website, and then Rubio asked Nuland about it, and then he quickly changed the subject to if Russia would use bio weapons, --------- It just seems suss to me.

Probably. Which only supports the sad reality that "truth" is victim to the convenience of most current propaganda depending on target audience.

I don't make excuses. I point out that Putin had his reasons, because some here write that he is just a psycho, loves to kill children and therefore invaded.

Of course, Russia is behaving badly, but in Russia there are no annual processions under Nazi symbols and with calls to kill Ukrainians.

Learn to perceive history as a chain of causes and consequences.
