Faz's Footie Fixture Forecasts.

The game is easy to play. For each game week of fixtures just predict the correct result and score.
10 points if you get the result correct (home, win, draw) + 30 bonus points for correctly predicting the exact score of each fixture.

Rules:
1. Correctly selecting the fixture as home, away or a draw earns you 10 points.
2. Predicting the exact score of any fixture result earns you an extra 30 ‘bonus’ points.
3. You cannot change match predictions or scores after first submission.
4. Any postponed matches will be void and nil points awarded for that fixture.
5. Predictions to be submitted no later than 6 hours before the first game kick off time.
6. Failure to submit your prediction in time will result in a ‘default’ of being awarded 20 total points less than the lowest ranking members score for that week, or ‘zero’ if a member scores less than 20 points.
7. Members joining the game later than the first round will be awarded 20 total points less than the lowest total score of existing members, or zero, if the lowest members total score is 20 or less, then allowed to proceed with submitting predictions for the remaining weekly games.
8. Members who fail to submit predictions for 3 consecutive weeks will be eliminated from the game for the remainder of the season.

Game to begin week 22.  https://fantasy.premierleague.com/fixtures/22

Friday Jan 14th. 8pm - UK time.
Brighton v Crystal Palace
Sat Jan 15th.
Man City v Chelsea
Burnley v Leicester
Newcastle v Watford
Norwich v Everton
Wolves v Southampton
Aston Villa v Man Utd
Sun Jan 16th.
Liverpool v Brentford
West Ham v Leeds
Spurs v Arsenal

Post your predictions in chronological order of fixtures, as either;

1-0, 2-0, 1-4 etc, OR

1-0
2-0
1-4, OR,

You may prefer to copy and paste the fixtures and enter your predictions thus:

Brighton v Crystal Palace    1-0
Man City v Chelsea               2-0
Burnley v Leicester               1-4 etc
Newcastle v Watford
Norwich v Everton
Wolves v Southampton
Aston Villa v Man Utd
Liverpool v Brentford
West Ham v Leeds
Spurs v Arsenal

When all members have submitted their predictions, I'll post the first XL spreadsheet, for members to check their details before first match kick off.

When all fixtures have been played I'll post another XL sheet with points tally for week 22 games.

Good luck to all players.

Faz.

First discrepancy in the fixture list noted by @King Cotton .......muchas gracias amigo.

The fixture list I originally used was from View Latest Premier League Fixtures | Fantasy Premier League were displayed in Thai time, not UK times. I've amended the above fixture list to therefore reflect that the first match, Brighton v C. Palace is an 8pm (UK) kick of time on Friday Jan 14th.

Obviously it's important to mention the first fixture kick of date and time so players ensure they can submit their game predictions in time. For the future going forward UK times will be used.

Trial xls sheet posted with your trial selections entered. Good idea for other players to preview the sheet beforehand anyway. Usernames are abbreviated due to confined space, but you should all be able to recognise who you are. I can change the abbreviations if you make a request but limited to 4 letters.

TEMPLATE weekly games..xls

You may stick with your selections @Marble-eye or change them as this is trial only.

So let me get this straight- I select what I think will be the final score for each game listed?

When is the deadline?

Ah, the first 'kid on the block', @Marble-eyeand, just to help you sleep at nights, three of your F's are the same as mine . . . only my draft ones, mind 🤭!

I see FFFF becoming an excellent distraction and with lots of bad language, following each results issue!

Yes.

As per rule 5. Predictions to be submitted no later than 12 hours before the first game kick off time.
At the top of the sheet, top LH corner, the date and kick off time for the first fixture will be displayed.
For this weeks games, that is Fri 14th, kick off time 8pm UK time.

So selections should be submitted prior to 8am UK time, (3pm Thai time) Fri 14th.

Good luck though! (sort of)

🙂 I suspect that it is impossible to avoid other people's predictions

.....especially when they are nearly all 'safe' predictions like 1-0, 2-0......let's see a few 5-3 and 6-4's in there....

I think KC is approaching this scientifically using an Abacus calculator to work out the odds and scores.

How the hell did you twig that I'd be taking the Abacus Calculator Approach, or the ACA in our professional circles? If it's good enough for Lawro, it's good enough for me 😉!

Hi, @Faz, here are the Abacus Kid’s forecasts and, looking at them, I’m thinking that a new moniker, Tuwonna, might be appropriate, temporarily at least! Anybody else got 4 or more 2-1 scores predicted? . . . let’s see!

 Brighton v Crystal Palace       2-1

Man City v Chelsea                2-1

Burnley v Leicester                2-2

Newcastle v Watford             2-1

Norwich v Everton                  0-2

Wolves v Southampton          1-0

Aston Villa v Man Utd            2-1

Liverpool v Brentford             3-0

West Ham v Leeds                 3-1

Spurs v Arsenal                       1-1

Good game, Faz . . . the tension is palpable! 😲!
