Changing notifications on Skype Android

Is there some way to change the notification sound for incoming calls, but not using the Android default list?
The Android ones are all very short tones, when I want a noisy, long burst of tone, otherwise I miss it.

For incoming mobile calls I can use non-Android sound files which are a lot louder and longer. I can't see how to access them when trying to change the Skype settings. Is there a way?

Is there an option to use a custom sound?

I don't use Skype and different android versions have different options (or so I discovered on an upgrade)

Since posting on here ten days ago and seeing no replies, I asked around in an Android forum.

There they suggested installing Solid Explorer and creating a folder in internal memory with the sound files I wanted.
Then when I came to change the sound notifications in Skype and in Line, I was prompted to choose Solid Explorer. This allowed me to navigate and change folders to the one I created and select my own ringtone .mp3 files.
