Jam and Butter

I went to Udon Thani today and had breakfast near the corner of Soi Falang!

I noticed on the bill that they charged 10 bht each for a small packet of butter and jam!

I politely confirmed it with the waitress !

I have worked in and owned a restaurant  in the states for many years.I’ve seen many use automatic fees for gratuities, service charges and owners shrinkage expense, the latter  was a first too.

I must admit I was a little taken back by    the charge and was tempted to politely speak to the falang owner.

I thought on it for a bit and decided  to hold off and never return again!

Don't patronize Farang establishments nor such company.

Guess it might be a struggle for someone like me to relate.

You do realize this is a Farang establishment and most of the company you keep here (IT wise) are Farang.😁

next time they will charge you for water and paper napkins. Avoid these places.

Did you specifically ask for these 2 packets? Honestly they should have already included it in the price so it is a little weird especially with breakfast. They actually should put a sticker on the menu stating that this will be extra and you will only get dry toast if not agreeing.

Similar happened to me in the Phils once:

I asked for milk in my coffee, the brought a can to my table, opened it for me and then charged me for the can later. lols
