Applying for Visa in Australia very slow

Australian's must be all rushing to get a visa now and Canberra overflowing with applications.

It's been 3 weeks since my application and still nothing.

I am in Perth, Western Australia and the Perth Thai Immigration is no longer open...so that doesn't help the situation.

So if your planning to apply for a visa in Canberra, give yourself about a month I would say...hopefully it isn't any longer!

4. TR Visa processing times

  • Visa processing time is up to 5 business days
  • Certain applications which require special consideration may take longer to process.

Are you sure you've provided all the required documents?

Yes I have got everything done for me by a Thai travel agency.

I would say they have been overloaded with applications at this time of year and so many Aussies are dying to get back to Thailand now.

The Perth office is closed down. So Western Australian's have to send visa applications to Canberra.

Such a slow process.

They can only supply what you gave them - which was?

Now you can start with the other requirements and apply for the Thailand Pass.

Yes I was extremely lucky to get the Thailand Pass just it time.

I was also extremely lucky to book Singapore Airlines a few days before they stopped selling tickets to Thailand via Singapore and closing the border to Australia.
