News Forum - German authorities uncover plot by “anti-vaxxers” to murder state politician

Recommended Posts

Police in Germany have foiled a plot by so-called “anti-vaxxers” to kill the premier of the eastern state of Saxony. The state currently has one of the lowest vaccination rates in Germany and some of the highest Covid-19 infection rates. Protest action has been growing in the country in opposition to mandatory vaccination, which becomes law in March for staff working in hospitals, care homes, and other healthcare environments. German police say they uncovered the plot to murder Saxony politician Michael Kretschmer on the messaging platform Telegram. According to a Reuters report, messages from members of a group known as […]

There are 5 million anti vaxxers in the uk and as long as 5 million in one country alone are not vaccinated then new variants will be allowed to form and multiply forever .

Its a choice they have been allowed to make , however imo to balance things they should NOT be allowed nhs hospital treatment when they do become seriously  ill , but allowed to die gracefully as they have wished for , thus freeing up beds for those who have complied .

Being vaccinated doesnt stop you from contracting the virus , it just makes the symptoms less severe .

Vaccinated people can still contract the virus and also be the cause of a mutation and if unvaccinated people shouldn't get NHS treatment , then neither should those who got sick from their vaccination, because their injuries were self inflicted

Not allowed treatment for Covid if they need it seems reasonable.

Hardly logical.

If there's a known risk factor of around a handful in a million, then those taking the risk should be treated if they happen to be unfortunate as they've done as advised.

The reverse applies to those who haven't.

Going by that logic , people who smoke shouldn't receive any NHS treatment for any ailments that are the result of smoking

There are 3 wrong things in that sentence alone, complete rubbish.

Vaccinated or not, people pay taxes in the UK, which fund the NHS. End of story. (to stay polite, not easy with a statement like yours here).

Also since you are vaccinated, like myself by the way, therefore you are protected, right? And since you can still catch and transmit it but are protected from dying, why do you care about people not vaccinated by choice? Why so much hate?

Going by that logic, all people who became obese by eating junk food everyday (s***t loads in the UK!) should not even be allowed to get the vaccine they urgently need as being at high risk unlike the majority of people who are forced to get vaccinated, including kids, teenagers and young healthy adults who have literrally 0 risk. They knew the risk, nevertheless they went to mcdonald, kfc etc... everyday. Why the NHS should take care of them then?

To me this is not about the Covid-19 debate nor vaccinations vs no vaccination.

If the evidence is proven, then lock them up. If they have done this, then they are extremists and don't represent the reasonable people objecting to mandates and probably only hurt the cause they say they  support. They have no place in this debate no matter what side they support.

Too many of the wrong people use justifications like "I was pushed into it" as excuses for satisfying their need for violence. Resorting to violence, in my opinion, has an uncanny knack of turning supporters away from the cause you support and gives the opposing side in the debate just ammunition to point to.

Difference is Fluke Smokers and Drinkers are addicted like a drug addict and should be given help to overcome there addiction. People who refuse the vaccine in my opinion should have there rights withheld, ie if they don't have a  NHS pass or documents for all venues be it a football stadium or a bar they should be disqualified and refused entry. Why should we follow all the rules and fight in the trenches to fight this pandemic if spitefull people step over the Fallen that followed the rules.

Smokers and drinkers enjoy smoking and drinking they aren't addicted because all the have to do is to stop doing it .

People fought in the trenches for freedom , freedom not to be dictated to by a Government , the freedom of choice as to whether to get vaccinated or not

I am a pro-vaxxer, but I find myself appalled by your "remedies", and that is before the consideration that refusing to treat infected people leaves them at large in the community to infect others.

Though I've already taken issue with the post that you were responding to, I would say the same to you about refusing anybody treatment for exactly reasons as I gave to @Easterneye

However, I think your post is even worse than his. You admit that there is some efficacy in being vaxxed, but you would deny treatment to people who have done their bit to try to protect themselves. To compound this, they were following gov advice, and you want to punish them for this?

I despair of the thinking processes of some anti-vaxxers.

I've made the following point many a time, and I have yet to see anyone undermine it: We have non-smoking areas because of the known risk of passive smoking. Passive smoking leading to death is cumulative and takes 20+ years to kill. A few minutes contact with a CV infected  person can lead to death with days. Given that, why should those who wilfully choose not to get vaxxed, be allowed to socialise with those who are doing their best to protect themselves?

I didn't say that they should be denied treatment , I was just pointing out that if you begin refusing some people treatment for certain reasons , then it should be applied across the board and apply to everyone

You remind me of Nancy Reagan: "Just say no".

Regarding smoking, it is recognised as being as addictive as heroin. Need I say more?

Your splitting hairs. My position is that nobody should be refused treatment. Yours is it is permissible as retaliation.

Two wrongs do not make a right.

Stop going to the shops and buying cigarettes' , stop opening the pack and putting one in your mouth and lighting it up .

It really is that simple, you just need a bit of will-power

More Nancy Reaganism. Tell that to the heroin, opioid and meth addicts.

Your post is naive. If it were that simple, there would be no addiction.

This is the attitude that underlines POVs which can lead to the extremism mentioned in the OP. Elected governments have a mandate to legislate. If people refuse to vaccinate after given a reasonable timeline to do so, IMO, they should expect to have limitation on freedom of movement imposed; the unvaccinated do not have a 'right' to potentially infect others. Personally I would be very angry if I contracted Covid from an anti vaxxer and had to go into isolation.
