When a government doesn't have concrete measures to campaign on, it often will raise 'Wedge' issues designed to enrage supporters into a 'Culture War'; see Trump in the US as a textbook example.

This is nothing but a government toady trying to whip up outrage at a harmless act.

Why is Miss Universe Thailand always a big half farang girl that grew up in another country & cannot speak Thai?

I mean this one was up there speaking in English about climate change & feminism like she was speaking at a liberal arts college lecture. Can just imagine eyes rolling if anyone took the time to read the translation.

We watched it & there were some nice looking 100% Thai girls (I mean grew up here, know the culture & issues that are important to the people that live here, SPEAK THAI, has taken the non-air conditioned bus to Khlong Toei market at 5 AM, knows 5 different ways to make sticky rice, stuff like this).

I know it's not important but it'd be nice to see a dark skin girl from Mukdahan or Buriram win this thing one year.

And if we're just going on looks all of you know you could find a worthy replacement in 5 minutes outside right now.

I suppose there is plenty of words to describe this nonsense over the flag years ago some guy opened a bar restaurant and put a load of flags outside and he got told to take them down because the Aussie flag was bigger than the Thai flag.
