PM Prayut Chan-o-cha met with United States Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman yesterday to discuss the Covid-19 vaccine situation. I wonder if US DSS Sherman thought it relevant to refer to yesterday's closure of the government's budget proposals to Parliament. Would some of this regime's proposed spending plans, e.g. 400 million baht for 3 new tanks for the navy, align with the country's struggle to buy vaccines?

Whilst aware that the budget is for the next fiscal year, the cash still has to come from the same pot and I know, for sure, that if I was struggling for money, this year, I would not be planning to spend it like an idiot, next year.

Just a thought.
