For all those struggling to get past the dreaded Error from API server message when registering for the Thailand Pass, we’ve got a ‘fix’ for you – just follow these steps: 1. Use Google Chrome You need to be using Google Chrome for this workaround to actually work, and we advise using a laptop/desktop. 2. Download the Allow CORS Chrome Extension Follow this link and it will take you to the download 3. Make sure it’s toggled on and enabled Check HERE to confirm. Add the extension to the bookmarked options and click it, turn it on, so it shows […]

I didn't do any of that.

The spaces after the passport are nothing to do with it already being submitted as far as I'm aware. I never got the duplicate passport error but once adding the space it worked.

In short I think you can use any browser, just get those spaces after the passport and insurance policy numbers.

That could well be one such solution for an API Error, though there are many more. This all feels like a poorly designed application and one where it doesn’t guide the user sufficiently to complete fields in the right way or right format. Drop down Menus are the way to avoid people providing missing or incorrectly formatted data. I haven’t used the website yet as I thought it would already be stress tested as we have seen.

The problem is made all the worse by poor error messages. For example Error 400 bad request means nothing. An error messages that says:

HTTP request error due to Passport number format incorrect - This is far more helpful to the user than simply HTTP Error: 400 bad request.

It’s what you get when you allow developers to test their own software!!

Hi, thanks for the posting. It was very frustrating and I decided to leave it for another day.  Glad to see that this API error is not just me. Hopefully this will be fixed up over the next 24 hrs.

So I have an iMac with Safari and Firefox. And now I should install Googlechrome.
Except, I spent already more time now trying to install it than filling in the paperwork.

I finally got it to sort of work.  Instead of the API message I now got the Passport number has already been used message.  So does that mean it went through or what?  Nothing tells you anything and have not seen an email yet either.  Be nice to know if it went through or not.

I tried this work around. now i get a whole different message immediately after the first page. at least without the workaround i got to the last page.  This is a national embarrassment for Thailand.

Here is the error message i get.

header.subject

header.forThai

Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information) .

Thank Buddha for the Thaiger!!  6 hours of frustration with T P application for 2 of us. Many good suggestions on many forums but ABSOLUTELY the answer came from the  Thaiger with the Google Chrome CORS workaround.

16 mins from the post going up we were in and 20 mins later success!! Now it’s rum o’clock LEGENDS!

I had the same problem. Just ad a space after your passportnumber and it works

And I’m still scared of buying plane tickets yet for my December trip, who knows what ll happen before then or if I can’t get Thailand pass approval.

I've tried submitting 10 times and finally after several hours managed to do it just to receive auto message that my vaccination certificate is not valid! I have one Johnson dose which is clearly enough according to info on the embassy website. Tried asking the embassy by email but no reply. My flight is this Saturday, I've been advised to wait for 1 Nov and apply through Thailand Pass. Same certificate was OK last time I've travelled! What a ridiculous situation. I've paid for flight hotel insurance and covid test and got rejected by the system. Not a clue what to do next... travel somewhere else I guess!

OK, I tried this five minutes ago and it appears to have worked

I put a "Space" after entering my Passport Number

I put a "Space" after entering my Thai Insurance Policy Number

I did a quick double click on the "Submit" at end of Page 4

I received  a "Success" with a Tick

It then took me back to the first opening page " Thai Nationals" and "Non Thai National"

No confirmation email so far, but some hope that it may have worked

Good luck to all

What should people who has janssen vaccine certificate to upload to Dose 2 section?????

Great question! Trying to deal with this very issue for a friend who got the J & J vaccine. It's a bug in the application site for sure and they need to get it fixed ASAP!

The whole thing is a tragedy. I was sure this would be the case so I did a COE, and received that a few days ago. I was hoping I would be able to upgrade to the Travel Pass when it went live. Looks like that isn't happening. I'll enter on my COE this Sunday when I land. that is still good and I know its valid. isn't worth risking this not working.

Yes Spam Folder is still empty.

I haven't come across anyone today, who succeeded earlier and then got any formal response or confirmation, after Submitting. So I don't know what their follow response process is after Submitting??

Maybe someone will post when it happens

Just have to wait and see what falls out of the Thai Pass tree, tomorrow
