IR1 Spouse Visa - US Embassy

Have documents qualified on Sept 1 by the NVC but no interview appointment scheduled yet at the Bangkok US Embassy. Can’t get any info on whether the holdup is just a backlog or there are not processing visas now.  Anyone have any inside information?

Has the medical been completed as well as obtaining the Police Clearance from the RTP, that normally is requested before they schedule and interview.  I was at the Embassy two weeks ago and it appeared there were a few folks waiting to go inside to complete an interview, but not near as many as Those of us going to the Citizens support side for needed notaries, etc...

My stepson was going to come to the US for Xmas

But we heard there were no interviews available for months

 

So we didn't even bother

Are you still waiting? Any update, I'm in a similar situation, would be nice to know if you are still waiting.
