A man had to be rescued after he allegedly drunkenly climbed an antenna tower in Bang lamung, which is part of the Chon Buri province, last night. Rescue workers and local media went to the scene to find the man, whose name has been withheld, 17 metres up the pole around 9pm. Rescue workers and residents worked at getting the man down by pleading through a loudspeaker. This effort failed. I think he'd have struggled to climb those two horizontally polarised Yagi array TV aerials. They must be all of 30-60cm long.
Do the journalists just google 'antenna' and pick any photo?

'The antenna climber' - isn't that some sort of clinging garden plant?

It would be hard to get the drunk and the rescuers with a rope on the pictured antenna.

I can’t see any Yagi arrays in that picture. It begs the question however of how he got such apparently easy access to the tower. Why isn’t there a guard with a locked access hatch on to the ladder? That’s a rhetorical question of course. We know the answer TIT !!

Huh? Didn't you read the full story? It's still the only photo there, No photo of a mobile phone mast.

Well theres an idea for me, next time wife gets out of order, off i will go to climb our local mast.
