I have to say it's a miracle what's happening in Thailand.....for the covid cases to be coming down from around 23+ thousand cases a few weeks ago to just over 12+ thousand cases today wow.  The rest of the world needs to know Thailand's secret? 🤪💯

These waves everywhere last about three months per wave and the peak season in that wave about 4-5 weeks. We are now in the tail end of this current wave. The next wave is probably going to be in Europe and USA this winter.

Simply put

Unbelievable

Did the testing labs and number crunchers take a holiday over the weekend.

I suspect they now work for TAT. Similar maths...

The only Wave Thailand is suffering from is the WAVE Goodbye to good honestly run government with any idea as to what they are doing.

Ah the great number fudge, the government will be running around patting each other on the back and having plenty photo op's, yes the number's are going down but as has been shown on some sites, the number of tests have also been going down for the last few weeks (they even changed the format from a number to a percentage to try and cover it up) as usual TIT, can't expect anything else really. 555

Yes definitely a downward trend which matches the cases found. Mind you, who knows where this source data comes from?

@SoidogThis graph looks exactly the same for a while now.. the dates change but always shows 40k as last entry..would love to know why this isn't being updated as the positive numbers drop so quickly..hmm

The data for testing is 10 days behind the new cases data. interesting!

I guess whatever the test data is, time will always tell. Let’s hope things are getting under control and they can be kept that way. If they are, then it would be good to know what the roadmap is to get the country fully open. You would hope there is a plan combined with thresholds of cases and vaccination rates? The crazy thing for me, is that there is no consistency in reporting even from one country to the next. For example: If Thailand thinks it needs to lockdown with infections higher than 20,000 a day and vaccination rates below 50%. Then what will they do when they are in the same position as the U.K.  with vaccination above 80% and infections still higher than 30,000 a day?  However they would need to test up to 1 million a day (as the U.K. has done) to find those 30,000+. Test to infection rates is a figure that would be more helpful. I guess that’s related to the “R” number which never gets a mention much in Thailand anymore.

Well as I say, time will tell. At current rates, case numbers should be back to 2,000 a day in the next 4-6 weeks and then no reason whatsoever to have any restrictions or have complicated arrival procedures for tourists, is there? Ummm 🤔🤔

Is any country in the world supplying accurate data on any aspect of this pandemic? I don't think so. Think of how many people who had symptoms but didn't present to be tested, brushing it off as just a runny nose, just a sore throat etc etc. There is one figure that's hard to fudge....deaths.... (unless your in a country that secretly disposes of human remains). The bottom line is, you can fudge the figures as much as you like...but this virus is the great leveller.
