She is from there. We are still in quarantine till the 19th. I am sure just asking around will solve the issue.

Nothing wrong in doing your own due diligence.

Ahhh good ole Seka, know it pretty ok. Has that lake on the outside after you go through the town where you can eat drink and banana boat, and ponds that if you aren't' careful you will come out of them with a family of leeches clinging on to you. Once upon a time I remember when there were no foreigners or very very few in that area there at all. Thailand is getting smaller for the un foreigner touched.

That would be common manner in which to go.

The local community. Ask around.

Why the obvious has to pointed out or directed for some is way beyond me.

Probably because many Westerners are used to having Yellow Pages ads, or Display Villages from which to select a builder.  It can be a daunting task in Thailand where almost anyone can 'build', without qualifications.

But yes, locals will know and a wary 'buyer' should seek out and check the quality of their recently completed projects.

Why wouldn't you ask on a forum, and see if someone has a recommendation or experience?

Then combine that with local knowledge......

I'd flip it on you and ask, why would you rely solely on local knowledge/community and not seek out others? That seems obvious thing to do, to me
