The dramatic drop in new infections over the past week has levelled off a bit with 15,942 new infections being reported across Thailand in the past24 hours, a rise from yesterday’s reported 14,653 cases. 277 of today’s new cases come from the Thai prison system. There’s also been 257 deaths, the numbers remaining high whilst other trends are more positive. 20,351 patients have now recovered and been released from state care, public and field hospitals over the past 24 hours… this number remaining above the number of new infections for the past 2 weeks. • In Phuket, the number of […]

To be fair, you can't say anything sensible about the number of positive cases going up or down, as the daily number of tests is not consistent.

The only relatively significant number is the number of deaths.

But if the number of positive tests goes down by 1000 and you call that a reduction.

Then surely when they go up by 1500, you should call that an increase.

Not a stabilisation.

It frustrates me to see places like the US talking about booster shots when many countries including Thailand have so few people fully vaccinated.

virus, vaccine and government.
1. most dead bodies since corona /covid started,
are not, checked /autopsy, why these people died.

2. most people with virus-tests positive-result,
are not sick and not very sick. before, then and after testing.
--
3. have flu-""virus"" problems, is not a new symptom,
strong flu-virus disease, in time of lockdown, is normal.

4. daily people in hospital before corona,
scared people who are,, little and not sick,
and sick from lockdown ( starving families, depression ),

plus close hospitals or remove beds,
is not a proof, of full hospitals because of viruses.
--
5. since when, you trust, doctors on tv etc.,
from, institution from government, and
6. trust in vaccine from companies owned mainly by banks ( blackrock usw. ) ?

7. pandemic, with "almost" not more deaths than before corona,
on tv /tell a "vision". means you need, mask on where you breathe,
yearly mRna vaccines technology, companies not pay when have damage, etc. ?

8. WEF and government work on,
not own, car, house, clothes, etc. ,
not drive car etc. self, eat much less meat,
fuse /mix, physical body and digital technology

plus, social credit system ( behavior is daily watched ),
with no cash, results in, personal lockdowns, sometimes, yes ?

It frustrates me more when full vaccination rate in the country is low and they talk about 3rd booster shots and mixing unapproved booster. Where are their priorities....sometimes i wonder

Who comes up with this idea to mix Astra & Pfizer vaccine? Do they even have a scientific background? Or do they just get educated from what they read in the Internet.   Astra is a viral vector vaccine and Pfizer is a messenger mRNA vaccine.  Both work differently to create a antibodies to ward off a virus.  There has been no thorough testing of mixing these vaccines.  Some experimental reported on the internet, but no comprehensive studies including double blind test groups have been conducted.  They must be the same people who stated early on that Sinovac vaccine is just as good or better than any other Covid vaccine, and we all know how well that turned out.  (By the way, I have an extensive science background)

The dramatic drop in new infections over the past week

Can we see the numbers for the performed covid tests, side by side, please?

Enen Trump knew: lesser tests, no so many new infections!

Right, in Thailand they start in the priorised areas, BKK, HKT, URT, ..., to booster.

But still in the north, east, deep south, there is little vacination effort.

Where are the rich people of Thailand are living? Someone know?

No, it’s an 8.7 percent rise. And only 11.3 percent lower than 7 days ago. Dramatic words indeed. Maybe they should have said a dramatic rise from yesterday. Maybe Thaiger wants us to be lulled into a sense of feeling safe.

This is the idea behind mixing and matching (link below). The theory makes biochemical sense. It may broaden efficacy and deal with supply issues at the same time. But it may also give adverse effects or reduce efficacy. Of the available vaccines, which will you choose to mix and at what intervals? Many variables. That's why it needs to be properly researched. Until then, personally, I'll stick to one brand.

Frankly what you have written is little more than twaddle.

Ok, you got me there.

But there families?

And TPTB's and families ?

My next guess would be every province, as every province has a police chief. Maybe they all don’t have 30 Ferraris but I’m sure the each live in a mansion.

Wasting our time asking for test data it seems. The following link provides a rolling 7 day average for Thailand. As you can see, it’s dropped to 0.78/1,000 which is the lowest since early June. This data is only up to August 28th.
https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/daily-tests-per-thousand-people-smoothed-7-day?tab=chart&time=2021-02-05..latest&country=~THA

This link shows the comparison with the U.S and U.K. As you can see, the U.K. is doing around 12/1,000 and the U.S around 4/1,000

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/daily-tests-per-thousand-people-smoothed-7-day?tab=chart&time=2021-02-05..latest&country=THA~GBR~USA

Finally, this is interesting data. It shows the Bi-weekly change in recorded deaths. As you will see, the rate for Thailand is showing a downward trend over the last two weeks. (the percentage change in the number of new
confirmed deaths over the last 14 days relative to the
number in the previous 14 days)

I wholly agree. I don't know if you have noticed but the UK is streets ahead of testing on a daily basis compared to any European Country. Spain don't even submit figures on Sat or Sun. (Tongue in cheek) perhaps Boris should reduce the testing by 90% then we'll look like we have conquered it. In reality, unlike many Countries we have a clearer idea of what we are up against (unlike Prayut's methodology).

Yes that’s right. Although France has recently stepped up its testing and is now doing around 10/1,000 whereas Germany is around 1/1,000. As you say, Boris needs to pull back on testing. Perhaps he’s waiting for a local election to take place and do it a couple of weeks before that 😉

Well let’s put that in perspective of what they ARE showing us. 0.77/1000 tests is around 54,000 tests a day.
of those 54,000 tests 20,000 currently must be the release tests of those in hospital around the 14 day mark. Then you have health workers etc that must be getting weekly tested, of which there are said to be around 650,000 so you see even then the health workers maybe only the frontline staff, so say 70,000. Give that 10,000 a day for them. Then you have all the ALQ and sandboxers, add another 10,000 a day. So in reality, they are only testing in the field around 14,000 people, which is near a 100 percent positive rate on tests carried out on walkins and such of the general population. I did not include the people in jail as who knows what they are doing there.
