Unless someone starts a thread about the rumor of dual pricing for Singha and Leo.

Can't stand either one.  Give me an ice cold Chang.

Now we know why The Emperor has been touting the lies about dropping Covid rates and lifting some restrictions, and why the Phuket Litterbox isn't allowed to "fail".

It's all about his idiotic promise of opening the country in 120 days.

Sure, go ahead and open it...and build lots more field hospitals, because you don't have enough vaccines, moron.

I'm not as optimistic as some. I think it will result in disaster like the Phuket sandbox, and it will only be PR-spun as a success, meanwhile with ICU's filling up further and clusters popping-up all over the place.

Plus hardly anyone has been vaccinated here, as the BKK and surrounding provinces plus Phuket were given priority. At the rate it's going, they can never double jab the population before mid-September. That's required because the jabs won't work properly until 2-3 weeks after the second jab and even then Sinovac is questionable.

The ever important money will benefit some bigger companies and hotels and will pass the local Thais by for the most part as it concerns arranged travel.

It's too early to do it safely. And it will again get people's hopes up, but it will again end in disappointment or worse.

It will most surely end in disappointment or worse, when following the 'vaccine' science/solution...

Covidologists, I like that, it's fitting. Definition: Busybody people who read a lot of shit on the internet concerning Covid19.

Mind if I borrow it?

I still prefer Covidiots 😂

On the off chance that tourism officials read this:  I have already been vaccinated twice, and am prepared to get a 3rd booster and if necessary PCR tests prior to travel. I hope to spend 2  winter months in a small house on a small island that I've visited before.

I'll decide to book a flight no later than November 1.   If at that time it will still be necessary to spend a week or 2 in expensive hotels on large islands or cities that do not interest me, I'll cancel my plans this year and probably go to Central America instead.

To decision makers: this person's dream is a simple, quiet and safe winter holiday.  In Thailand, but not at busy destinations such as Phuket, or Koh Samui.

And dont forget all the paperwork and tests you must provide in order to 'apply' to come to Thailand and spend  your money.  Until Thailand drops all the paperwork crap (like say Maldives) and only requires proof of full vaccination, then there will be very few real tourists coming back.  And of course, open the restaurants and other places that tourists like to visit - far too many are closed in Thailand.

That of course, means a likely increase in Covid cases and that would probably swamp the already stretched medical system.  Bit of a catch 22 - but of course they want it both ways.

"Thanks for the heads up. Our committee, consisting of renowned specialists in all fields of travel and tourism, has reviewed your proposal and determined that you wouldn't spend enough money on your "tiny island" plan. We hope you enjoy Costa Rica."
