Can you imagine the public relations nightmare for Thailand if this rice makes people ill? It won't be about "rice stored in a warehouse for 10 years", it will be about "Thai rice". All Thai rice. Obviously, as seems to be standard operating procedure these days, the government doesn't have any concept of the consequences in the long run.
