Yeah, in this respect it's the same as in Europe, you receive a pic of you driving, with a description of the location and speed. -

It was always my understanding (and confirmed by several Thais) that these radars are often either fake or not working. I know I sped past them on numerous occasions and never received any fines, however my brother-in-law once received one for 500 baht (Bangkok area). -

Again with the same sex unions. This idea used to be a joke in the West, until later than year 2000. This sort of thing is very culture bound, and globalizing it ignores that Thai people have their own attitudes towards homosexuality. For a bit of context, although Buddhism is not uncritical of homosexuality, this criticism always comes in a broader context of anti-lust. And the societies of Southeast Asia, never were as hostile to homosexual acts, as were Europeans. So it takes the piss, when someone says, that indigenous Thai ideas and values on the subject must be replaced by Western ones. People might not think of this as racism and ethno-masochism, but it is. -

yeah when was it last calibrated.........got a ticket today 121kmh in a 120kmh kin ridiculous, binned it along with the others. Oh yeah now they stick a note in saying because youre a foreigner you must pay it...........presumably if youre thai then you dont have to, And before anyone chimes in with the usual crap taxed the cars just fine. Found in mailbox nothing signed for..........didnt receive it as far as Im concerned.- 1
